Even for a man as cruel and calculating as Egor Baranov, handing your daughter over to a hardened criminal to suit your own business needs is low. But that’s exactly what he did. This book has some of my favorite tropes: Age Gap, Arranged Marriage, Mafia, Alpha Male, and a few others. It is also a trademark Jenika Snow naughty book and has a lot of her spicy content that we all love. (You can find a list of these in her Content warnings.) There is something just so consumable about Jenika Snow books- how the insane chemistry and insta love blossoms into an addictive romance. She has a keen ability to right dark and dangerous men that would die for their ladies- swoony only when it comes to their women. And Nikolai Petrov is the perfect alpha psycho boyfriend- a ruthless and terrifying mafioso manipulating his world just how he likes it for the power and legacy of his family….and this includes an arranged marriage with young and innocent Amara and a delicate truce with her family.

The last thing I want is to play house with some spoiled little dancer, but I’ll do whatever it takes to protect my father’s legacy. To solidify ties between the Bratva and Costa Nostra Amara Bianchi and Nikolai Petrox are to wed sight unseen. He’s a dark merciless killer whilst Amara is just eighteen and innocent.

Really nothing special about this. Characters were annoying. Honestly didn’t care for any of them, the weird attempt at kink to love story with violent leanings. Female main character was pathetic and the male was could be any alpha male there was nothing unique or interesting about either. Okay, let's get the technical stuff out of the way first. Missing words, a "to" or "my" missing here, a "with" or "of" missing there a "want" missing somewhere else; Story inaccuracies, e.g., the author writes "...plays with herself the way Gabriel did..." except that Gabriel hasn't yet 'played with her' in that way up to this point in the story. And yet, this is not what bothered me in this story. In fact, this story is so intense that you're willing to overlook these errors. This was an easy simple read with little angst the romance itself wasn’t that dark these two liked it rather rough but their connection together was sweet if you discount the fact that Nikolai will take anyone apart who dares even look at his wife sideways. He doesn’t change and Amara accepts him for exactly who he is. This did feel authentic as this is the only life she’s ever known so to her it’s all relatively normal and Nikolai does treat her like his treasure.Ruthless Heir by Sasha Leone takes readers on a thrilling and captivating journey into the world of dark mafia romance. He does not disappoint. The man is a ruthless killer that holds onto his reputation and status with an iron fist. There are very few people he cares about and when he enters into an arranged marriage to bring two sides together, he sees it as a means to an end. Little does he know that when he sees his betrothed for the first time she becomes everything to him and he would do anything to keep her safe and ONLY his. The Protagonist: A sheltered princess who becomes the target of Gabriel’s intentions, the protagonist is torn between her loathing for him and the magnetic pull she feels towards him. Her character develops throughout the book, revealing her strength and resilience as she navigates the dangerous world of mafia politics.

Summary Amara knew her fate would always be marrying for the family but that did not make it easier. When the time finally came and a mafia boss was chosen for her, she was scared for what her life would be like. With Nicolai who was her fiance, and his horrific tales of murder and torture, she was convinced her life would be painful and humiliating. That is until she met her husband. A man as ruthless as he was pretty, and the only one she could see herself falling for. But there was no happy ending for her. Men like Nicolai didn't love their wives. She had only one purpose and that was to give him a family but that did not stop her from hoping for more. This had a bit of typical mafia characters like a young, very innocent heroine and the big bad intense mafia hero who was to be married to her. like I said, even though it was a type of book I have read many times, the intensity of the characters kept me hooked and I loved it a lot! The suspense was good and now I want the stories of the side characters, I hope we get them soon! full 🔥. Listen. I know this isn’t a priority for many people. But man… I was feeling the bangxiety in this one 😭😭😭.I am still very will to read any other books Ms. Snow writes in this universe. She lays the ground worl for another and I can't wait.

the 🔥 (slow burn). before I get into this, let me say that Nikolai is a PATIENT man 😱. I don’t know how many men out there would wait SO long AFTER getting married 😬😅. I gotta give him props 🤷🏻‍♀️ (they get married at about 31%…) Nikolai catches a glimpse of his young bride-to-be and he cannot wait to taste her and teach her all the sinful things of his dreams. But he has bigger plans for Amara than just a docile, submissive wife. Sure, he wants her submissive in his bed, but only because she craves it. And then I found myself painted red, my wedding dress stained in blood. A man dead by my husband's hands for simply touching my hair. If you like easy mafia-arranged marriage stories but like the darkness to be because of the world rather than the romance itself then this is the one for you. Nikolai treats Amara like a princess unless it’s time to get their freak on then she’s his little doll.a proper ending. The ending was rushed! We get a sort-of epilogue after the end of the book, but it ends so abruptly (for me). Then we get a chapter for the next book. Like… 🤔 what happened?? 😭😭😭 where’s my proper HEA 😩. Where are the babies I want them to have? 😭 lol I’m sure it’s like this because we’re going to get Dmitry and Claudia’s book and we’ll see them there, but stillllll 😐😭 but little does she know that her psycho husband was obsessed at first glance and was gonna treat her like his queen😫🦋💍 This book read so fast! I gobbled it down. I wanted to protect Amara at all costs and when she is given to Nikolas... she doesn't know what to expect, but it is so much more than she ever expected for herself. I had a great time and read it all in one sitting.
