About this deal

USE ALL IN ONE DYE TO REPAIR SCRATCHES, MINOR CUTS, SCUFFS, COLOUR RUB OFF, FOR PERMANENT RE COLOURING PROJECTS The Leather Colourant Kit is not just a standard leather dye but an actual process, which gives fine results every time. Developed by professionals in the leather manufacturing industry, our Leather Colourants are not just standard dyes, but water-based dye finishes used to give a long-lasting, durable and flexible finish. As well as being non-hazardous and non-flammable, this kit is easy and safe to use. Selecting Your Colour & Finish Here's a basic idea of what's involved, with a few tips on what to avoid. Don't Use Cheap Leather Dyes The first step is preparing the leather ready for applications of colour. We do this to remove any waxes, oils or silicones that may be present on the leather. Not removing these could cause adhesion problems. Prepping the leather also removes the manufactured finish. If the leather is very dirty, clean it first with our Leather Cleaner.

The Colourant Kit should be used when changing the colour of your leather, the Re-Colouring Balm should only be used to restore colour to leather and not to change it. Using the soft side of the included sponge, Gently rub the surface using an even circular movement until the sponge becomes almost dry. Better still, we’ll provide you with a specific RAL colour code for your interior so you can easily match it next time. We use water-based colourants, a traditional technology that has been used in the manufacturing of leather for years. The end result looks like brand new leather. This is because the product is applied in the same way as in a tannery. Once applied, your leather will look and feel like natural leather, it will never flake, fade or peel off. How it works The Leather Repair Paint is just as flexible, it has same colour coverage and quality of our Leather Colourant range, with the added benefit of sealing itself whilst it dries. The extra large kit has been designed for a full car interior (5 seats, door cards, centre console, dash, and all other leather areas) or an entire three piece suite. In all circumstances, we recommended fully cleaning the entire item of leather that you want to repair. Not only is this good practice, but if the leather is dirty, it can cause a freshly repaired area to stand out. Clean the leather using our Leather Cleaner. Some folks like to finish with nothing but a leather conditioner or oil to help soften the leather again. Some like to apply conditioner and then apply a finish of their choosing and others will just jump straight to leather sealers. There are several options out there, so try out which process works best for you on some scrap! We recommend Resolene to finish your project, but we also carry Bag Kote! Be sure to apply it evenly, working out any bubbles or streaks that may occur. Use a clean, lint-free rag, sponge, paintbrush, or airbrush to apply your finish!
