We pray that the Coronation might be a Christ-honouring occasion and that our King would continue to defend the faith, and that he would see his relationship with you deepened. Amen. My past cannot go with me into 2023. Every pain, disappointment, shame, affliction and bondage remains in 2022. I am free, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! (1 Samuel 24:15). I place my 2023 in the hands of the Almighty God. I declare that God's goodness and mercy shall follow me throughout each day of this year, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Spirit of the Living God, I ask that You expose every plot of the enemy against my life this year. Bring them to light even before they can be executed, in the Name of Jesus Christ (Psalm 91:10).

Lord of the nations, we pray for our government over this upcoming year. We pray that you might bless us with leaders who act with integrity, judge with wisdom and prioritise mercy. We pray in particular for our Prime Minister and the Cabinet, that they might lead effectively, make good decisions and that our nation would prosper. Amen. Father, in the absence of your leading, all that exists is confusion. I ask that You make known to me your will for my life this year, so that I may gain direction and be able to focus on what matters, in the Name of Jesus Christ (Proverbs 3:5-6).As we begin the new year, many of us will be anxious about what 2023 has in store, with pressures at home and abroad. We hope that this prayer resource will help you to bring to the Lord some of what is on your heart at this current time, and we remember the words of Paul to the Philippians: Lord, You know the stubborn problems that have refused to quit my life. May this year be my year of deliverance, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
