About this deal

Points are scored as per the scoring system below, by adding up all the card values from the other players.

A Wild card may be used as any 1 type of resource. You may NOT split the value of the Wild card. For example, a Wild 3 card may be used as a 3 Diamond card or a 3 Wood card, but NOT a 2 Diamond card and a 1 Wood card in combination. That is not to say that the Minecraft Card Game? is a strategy filled game. Instead it feels like your typical card game with a few more mechanics added in to add a little more strategy. In a lot of ways the game is similar to a lot of simple card games. Your decisions on any given turn are usually pretty obvious. Therefore you can play the game without putting a ton of thought into every individual decision. There are some points in the game where the decision you make will have an impact on the outcome though. I could actually see the game working pretty well as a gateway game. It is far from the best game that I have ever played, but I still enjoyed playing it and could see a lot of other people liking it as well. Shovel: This tool may be used to force a player to limit another player to one action on their next turn. Just remember: This card can only be played if a player has no other matching color cards on your hand. This rule is often disregarded in the house rules, but according to the official rules, you cannot play it if you have a matching color (matching symbols are ok). Minecraft itself is a highly popular video game, first published by Swedish game developer Markus Persson through his company, Mojang in 2011, and subsequently bought over by Microsoft later on. Since its release, Minecraft has been played by people from all around the world just like Uno, and now we get to play the Minecraft version of Uno!

If you want to craft something, you first will need enough resources to do so, and this can be seen by looking at the craft cards. So, to craft something, choose the craft card you want and trade in the required number of resource cards.

Card Game? Basics

If you choose to mine a card, you take it from one of the resource piles and add it to your hand. Resources come in numerous different types, and some are rarer (and thus more valuable) than others. Craft A player may perform two actions during their turn, even if they are the same action. Play proceeds to the next player once the other player has completed their actions. There are three types of actions a player can perform:

To illustrate this point I want to talk about the TNT cards. Basically whenever you have the opportunity to take a TNT card you should. There is basically no downside to taking one as any possible punishment will be shared with the other players as well. Taking a TNT card basically acts like getting a free turn as you will get to take two Resource Cards instead of one. In some cases taking the TNT card will give you all of the resources that you need to craft a card. If the TNT cards are spread out among the players this isn’t a huge issue, but if one player gets more than the other players they will have essentially gotten more turns than the other players. This will give players a huge advantage in the game. If a player decides to mine a resource card, they are to take one resource card from the top of one of the five resource card piles. The goal of every player is to discard all their cards before anyone else, and the general strategy is to impede or slow down other players from doing so. Each tool a player "crafts" has a special power. A player may use the powers at any time, and using one does not count as an action. When a tool's power is used, the player is to flip the craft card face down to show that the tool was used. Points on the card are counted even if the tool is used. The tool can only be used once. The tool powers are as follows:

Setup

The aim of this fun, quirky card game is simple; you need to be the first to reach the points goal. The Minecraft card game can be played between 2 – 4 people, and the points goal varies depending on the number of players. The game follows a pattern of each player taking turns carrying out their two actions. The aim is to build up enough tools/ craft cards to get the necessary number of points to win. However, the special cards can (and likely will) cause a few surprises. So, let’s see how they work. Beware The Creeper If you choose to craft as an action, you trade in your resource cards to acquire a Craft Card. The Craft Cards have icons on them that designate how many resources are required to craft that card. Sword: When a Creeper card is revealed, a player can use their sword to avoid losing a Resource Card.
