About this deal

Combine this with the drone's Tele camera which helps it achieve 56x hybrid zoom, and you have an aircraft which is a powerful, lightweight and portable tool for law enforcement, looking for missing people or spotting abnormalities/defects during inspections. The main difference between the Standard and Cine versions of the Mavic 3 is that the Standard version provides 8GB of internal storage, while the Cine features an impressive 1TB SSD with support for Apple ProRes 422 HQ video recording. Features and flight The DJI Mavic 3T is built with public safety, search and rescue, inspection and thermal mapping in mind. I have read that some people have experienced flyaways or the Mavic 3 just stops communicating with the remote. I personally haven’t experienced this, but it is well documented. Hopefully, DJI will continue to improve by fixing these bugs with future firmware updates. Sensing And with the Mavic 3 Classic having the lowest price point, this feels the best budget option - if users are willing to sacrifice the Tele camera.

A highly-capable and reliable drone, the M3T has omnidirectional object sensing, APAS 5.0 and Advanced Return To Home.To read more about the differences between the Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Cine, and Mavic 3 Classic, read our comparison blog. The Mavic 3 is an exciting drone from DJI. The new Hasselblad camera is one feature that stands out as it has a Micro Four Thirds sensor that will help with lowlight performance and overall image quality. DJI sent me the Mavic 3, not the Cine version, for review. For the most part, they are very similar, but the Cine model has more internal storage and records ProRes HQ. Why no other ProRes options? Good question. I think for most users, the Mavic 3, not “cine,” will be a better option as H.265 is pretty darn good. Firmware Updates For a more immersive experience, all five of the Mavic 3 drones are compatible with the DJI Goggles Integra and DJI Goggles 2 , as well as the DJI RC Motion 2 which allows operators to control the drone with wrist movements. Mavic 3 Pro & Mavic 3 Pro Cine vs Mavic 3 Classic vs Mavic 3 & Mavic 3 Cine - Target Audience

This controller is larger than the older foldable Mavic 2 controller, but the advantage is improved battery life of up to six hours. The RC Pro controller (above) that comes with the Cine version of the Mavic 3 is essentially a new Smart Controller with a 5.5in touchscreen and offers several other advanced features compared to the standard controller. The Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Cine, and Mavic 3 Classic are engineered for content creation: All three have a quality 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad sensor, but the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine also feature a tele camera for enhanced zoom. The Cine also has larger storage and Apple ProRes capabilities for high-end cinematography;Based on their specifications and characteristics, each one has its own target audience, whether that's content creation, surveying, public safety, inspection, thermal mapping, agriculture, or land management. The gimbal is controllable in the pan (left and right) and tilt (up and down) directions from -5° to 5° for the pan and -90° to 35° for the tilt. However, the Mavic 3 can move the 3-axis gimbal much further automatically to keep a steady shot. Able to pan from -27° to 27°, tilt from -135° to 100°, and roll from -45° to 45° all at a maximum speed of 100°/s. These numbers mean the gimbal can do its job in wind speeds of up to 12 m/s or 43.2 km/h. Obstacle Avoidance and Flight Speeds: The Mavic 3 is around the same size as the Mavic 2, though opens out a little larger. Every version is supplied with a clip-round case to protect the handsome camera gimbal (assuming you can live without symmetry). Getting it on and off takes a little getting used to but gives that professional feel the device deserves and solves the issue of flapping props and at-risk cameras in drones of similar proportions. It’s no harder than the clip-on plastic protectors on other models, but it’s doing more work. ProRes has its advantages with less compressed 10-bit recordings, but the H.265 is very good. Hopefully, DJI will also improve the other codec options as well in the future. Fly The Mavic 3 is a nimble drone that’s much more responsive in flight than its Mavic 2 predecessors. In this respect, it's actually more like the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. The controls are simply much more sensitive in both Normal and Sport Modes, while Cine Mode offers reduced control sensitivity and speed for smoother flights and more cinematic video footage.

This works well in what you might call standard environments and when set to move around obstacles such as trees, fluid flight is maintained and you can be confident that your video footage will remain constant with little chance of crashing. When flying in more complex environments such as woodland, however, APAS can become overwhelmed and cause the drone to fly erratically. Now it's time to dig a bit deeper into the capabilities of each drone. DJI Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Cine, and Mavic 3 Classic: The Filmmaking Drone Engineered for quality content creation, the Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Cine, and Mavic 3 Classic have a suite of functions and features such as 12.8 stops of Native Dynamic Range; Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) to deliver vivid, natural colours; 10-bit D-Log to deliver natural colour gradations; HLG for higher dynamic range; Vision Detection Auto Focus Technology; and night shots video to optimise footage in low-light scenarios.

Internal Memory

The drones are furnished with a suite of safety sensors, and an auxiliary bottom light, while the removable battery is located at the rear of the aircraft. Flight Performance - Battery Life, Transmission, Safety Features, Smart Shooting Modes The Mavic 3 Pro/Mavic 3 Pro Cine's 166mm Tele Camera is upgraded from the Tele Camera on the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine, with a wider aperture. This blog will examine each drone's core features and highlight their suitability for their specific industry vertical.
