So I have pretty conflicting feelings about this. On the one hand I thought it was well written, fun to read, and never bored me as other romance books have in the past, but there were also a lot of parts that really got on my nerves. Verdict? I have no clue! Kiss Her Once for Me is a gift of a story. Capturing the festive charm and nostalgia of the season, the fresh-fallen-snow wonder of falling head over heels, this holiday romance also reminds us that giving and receiving love can be as tangled as a knot of Christmas lights, yet with patience and perseverance, finally unwound, no less beautiful, the glowing joy we all deserve.

Ellie’s relationship with her abusive mum was definitely interesting. It shows that even though someone is obviously manipulative and draining, it can still be hard to cut them out of your life. Believe me, Alison, this story is a gem (I’ve already said that twice, didn’t I?), and I will gulp down every book you write from now on at a furious pace! I don’t know if I’d strongly recommend this book since it had Barry from Sauquoit, Ny"Holly Jolly Christmas" did not make Billboard's Top 100 chart; but between 1957 and 1964 he did have nine Top 100 hits, with "A Little Bitty Tear" being his biggest hit, it peaked at #9 (a "Funny Way of Laughing" was just behind it, it reached #10).

Speaking of Ellie, I found her to be really relatable. I wasn’t super fond of her personality, but when she would describe her fear of failure and her social anxiety, I completely related to everything she said.
