About this deal

I was a bit worried that they won't have enough bass for me. I don't listen to techno or bass full music, but wanted to make sure they will "draw" all levels. Although these are not the most prominent speakers in the market, they produce an outstanding sound quality regardless of their size. Given their small size, it isn’t surprising that these speakers are easy to use and all the controls are within reach and straightforward to operate. Whether you will opt for Kanto YU2 or Audioengine A2+ depends on the type of desktop speakers you’re searching for. If you want speakers that can be connected to an audio source wirelessly the Audioengine A2+ is the right choice for you.

The YU2 speakers are the only model from Kanto’s YU series that doesn’t support Bluetooth connection. Even so, Mac users can connect the YU2 speakers to the AirPort Express using the 3.5mm Auxiliary cable that comes with the model if they want to stream music wirelessly from their iPads or iPhones. One of the defining features of Kanto speakers is their design. You’ll be hard-pressed to find better-looking speakers than those Kanto produce and the YU2’s are no different.

To help you choose which speaker suits your listening needs best, we will compare YU2 and YU4. We will discuss each product’s pros and cons, technical and physical features in detail. Company Overview Stream your favourite music from external devices through the AUX and RCA inputs, and keep the music going all day and night with the convenient USB charge port. Automatic standby and power-up modes The compatible size and design of these speakers make it easier to adjust them on a cabinet, a bookshelf, or any location of your choice. They are pretty much the definition of plug and play. There aren’t any complicated parts to these speakers and due to the limited number of connections, you don’t need to worry about Bluetooth or wireless connectivity problems. Overall they are very easy to set up and get working in no time at all. Aesthetics

They might not be suitable for larger spaces to be used beyond a computer setup but for what they are designed for, we really have no complaints. Kanto is an excellent brand of audio CE products. This company was founded in January 2007. David Reid, the founder of Kanto, started this company to bring high-performing products to the market in an affordable price range. This is very prominent in their recent YU speaker series. The connections on offer can be looked at as both a positive and a negative. On the one hand, the limited amount makes these speakers very easy to use and on the other it can limit your options (see below). However, we do think that a simple plug and play connection makes these speakers very user friendly. Warranty At the rear of the speaker, located at the top is a handy volume control knob. This rotating knob also doubles up as a power switch. Connect with smartphones, TV and turntablesIts 2.75-inch aramid fiber woofers and ¾-inch silk dome tweeters are not covered, since this Audioengine’s model doesn’t come with front grills. Each speaker has the dimensions of 6 x 4 x 5.25 inches which makes the A2+ model slightly larger than the Kanto YU2 speakers. A Bluetooth connectivity option makes this speaker ideal for so many people because you can connect these speakers to most smart devices available in the market. But this option can be problematic sometimes because you can’t turn it off. So when you are in public, anyone with a Bluetooth device can connect to your speakers. The Kanto YU2 speakers are ideal desktop speakers for your PC, allowing you to enjoy music, videos and games better than ever before. Kanto YU2 Powered Bookshelf Speakers features

You’ll no doubt find speakers around the same price that do offer more bass but that can be easily fixed with a subwoofer addition. That being said, the actual bass isn’t bad at all. At first sight, the design of the A2+ may seem generic, as there are no distinctive features that would separate visually these speakers from similar models offered by other brands. These speakers support Bluetooth 5.0 connections, and they are compatible with aptX, AAC, and SBC codecs. In addition, you can choose between models that support wireless connection and those that require you to use cables to connect the speakers to each other and the audio source. The Audioengine A2+ is smaller but heavier than the Kanto YU2, which may affect portability or placement on a desk or shelf. One of the most unique features of the YU2 is the integrated DAC (digital to analog converter). This ensures optimal audio fidelity, bypassing the onboard soundcard of your computer. The result is rich and distortion-free sound. It also helps to lighten the load for your computer, resulting in streamlined performance. It also features a rear-firing bass port for pronounced and defined low-end response. The wireless connectivity option is arguably one of the greatest A2+ speakers have to offer. Besides these speakers weigh just under 7lbs, which enables you to take them camping with you, but you should keep in mind that you need access to a 120V or 240V power source to use them. Their businesses were both established around the mid-2000s. With respect to them, my own impression is that they're both .com start-ups doing pretty much the same thing with pretty much the same story. In fact, it's almost like the YU2 and A2+ are products of the roughly the same variables fed in to each company's CAD program and it churned out pretty close to the same result.
