About this deal

I will always try to be happy. I don’t think people really understand the value of happiness until they know what it’s like to be in that very, very dark place. It’s not romantic. Not even a little.” ― Sarah Silverman I'm so grateful that Emily approaches the subject of being an adult without knowing your passion/purpose and the uncertainty of being an adult. This coastal town is home to two award-winning beaches: Llandudno North Shore Beach and West Shore Beach. Both offer amazing views overlooking the Irish Sea. The Llandudno Pier is also iconic; a 700m walkway lined with independent shops, arcades, and tempting food stalls, it’s popular with residents and tourists alike. The town is compact and walkable too, making it easier for people to get to know their neighbours – and there are plenty of local events and activities that bring residents together, such as farmers’ markets and street fairs. Equity release may involve a lifetime mortgage or a home reversion plan. To understand the features and risks, ask for a personalised illustration.

You thought you loved Henry's leading men from her previous books? Brace yourselves because you're not ready for Wyndham Connor. The setting was gorgeous and the characters were loveable, rich, and complex. The dynamics of this friendship group should be studied, and I am processing my paperwork to join this group in their cottage as we speak. Don’t you know that we must always have a place where we never go but where we think we’d be happy if we did?” ― Nicolas Chamfort There are also plenty of pubs and restaurants here, as well as a zoo, a first-class golf course, and some excellent theatres.Engage with different activities and shake up your routine. For all you know, your happy place may be on stage in an amateur dramatics club. You must embrace your curiosity and join a local drama group to find this out. It’s surrounded by hilly countryside, stunning forests, and tranquil waterways. The nearby Delamere Forest – with its vast network of trails, bike paths, and scenic picnic spots – is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts. I laughed and I cried with this book and I felt like I was right there with Harriet, feeling what she was feeling, the entire time. It was beautiful, and the devotion Wyn and Harriet have with each other was the perfect addiction you read Henry's novels to escape to.

There are many layers to who Harriet and Wyn are, and consequently to their relationship. This is shown through the time-jumps between now and the different stages from the time they meet up to the present. And it is a lovely journey, with ups and downs, and poignantly beautiful moments that had tears streaming down my face. Bury St Edmunds is a historic market town located in Suffolk, England. It’s the home of Saint Edmund, the original patron Saint of England, and there are 1,000 years of history to explore through the town’s cathedral, abbey ruins, and museums.Hope you loved this collection of happy place quotes. If you haven’t found yours yet, time to explore and find it soon.

But you can’t limit your ability to find a happy place to something physical. You need to be able to carry it around with you wherever we go so it’s there whenever you need it. I love a good second chance romance and this one did what it said on the tin and then some. All the emotions; the highs and lows were palpable. This book discusses some serious topics like grief and mental health but the funny moments offered some relief from the heaviness. Despite their challenges, it was obvious that Harriet and Wyn were soulmates and were meant for each other and this was confirmed in a number of heart-warming and heart-crushing scenes in the book.

I didn’t expect to relate to this book so much, as a twenty-something, freshly graduated and moved to a new city to pursue the career I want, the feeling that you’re slowly slipping away from the people you know are your life-long friends, if not already family, is something that eats away at you, just as it does for Sabrina, Cleo and Harriet throughout the book. No matter what, the love will always be there, and the love of family and friends was portrayed so beautifully in this book I think my heart almost burst on multiple occasions. If you’re driving to work in rush hour traffic, thinking and stressing about all that faces you when you get to the office, it would be almost impossible to have a relaxed and productive day. The stress would carry through the day, probably escalating as you dealt with each difficult person and challenging situation. Then you would further increase the stress on the drive home through another rush hour of traffic and annoying drivers while you dwelled on the day at the office and stressed about all you had to accomplish. Brimming with characters you can't help but fall for and off-the-charts chemistry, HAPPY PLACE is Emily Henry doing what she does best! A lively social scene is also evident here – and a range of events are held throughout the year, including the Cotswold Show, which showcases the best of local food, drink, and crafts. Happiness, not in another place but this place…not for another hour, but this hour.” ― Walt Whitman

A love story that will be deeply and uniquely personal to each reader, instigating an interesting and timely debate about escapism, happiness, and what it means to live our best lives. At Tulane, I majored in Communications/Linguistics, but my informal major was the city itself. New Orleans was where I discovered it was possible to fall in love with a physical environment. Riding the “Freret Jet,” the city bus that meandered from the Tulane campus to the French Quarter, and the St. Charles streetcar (only 5 cents a ride!), I was mesmerized by the street names. As the trolley rumbled along, I’d roll the musical consonants and vowels around my tongue: Dryades. Carondelet. Napoleon . Evenings, I’d stretch out on the rug of my dorm room studying my city map. Prytania, Annunciation, Tchoupitoulas, Piety, Esplanade, Fontainebleau, Frenchmen, and, of course, Louisa. the themes of friendship and growth within friendship was done so well, and in such a way that felt so relatable to someone coming out of university and feeling uncertain on how to maintain relationships. i thought a really fantastically done part were the conversations around conflict and how our family really teaches us how to deal with arguments (i admit, i am a harriet when it comes to this. and i need a wyn in my life like her). the found family dynamic of this book was gorgeous and i didn't expect to love absolutely everyone, and root for them all too.Happy place is the perfect mix of Beach Read, People We Meet On Vacation and Book Lovers. There is the banter of Book Lovers, a similar structure as You and Me on Vacation and the melancholy and nostalgia of Beach read. The one thing that has not changed is Emily Henry’s ability to capture emotions, you will giggle, cry, scream, laugh hysterically and then cry some more (hysterically, because let’s be real this book is beautifully painful). You will relate to the characters and be surprised of how seen you feel. Harriet and Wyn … all I can say is I adore them and rooted for them every step of the way. Their understanding of each other, and willingness to know each other inside and out is so visceral. You can feel the heart of their relationship palpitating through the screen. Their love is so profound, and they are such beautiful ‘people’. They felt truly like soulmates. I adored Harriet’s narration - it was so vulnerable and raw, delving deep into the impact of childhood trauma.
