About this deal

Our EquiGroomer grooming toolsmake the experience pain-free, injury-free and stress-freefor you and your pet! This post focuses on the information necessary to make the best decision for the equine in your life. A spot can be anywhere on a horse’s body. What’s unique is that the “ hair swirls in a circular direction” in contrast to the rest of the horse’s coat. The blade is designed to be safe no matter how much or how often you use it. It simply will not damage the topcoat or remove any healthy hair. Regular use will result in a coat that’s shiny, smooth and soft! While there is no definitive rule about how often to bathe your horse, it IS critical to make sure the natural oils in your horse’s coat and skin are not stripped away with over-bathing. Bathing your horse too often will leave the coat dry and flaky and the unprotected skin prone to infections.

How often should you bathe your horse? Should you wash them when it is cold – or even hot – outside? Today’s post will explore the pros and cons when it comes to bathing your horse.Whether you – or your groomer – is carding or hand-stripping your dog, this kind of grooming is vital for their overall healthy coat and skin! These grooming processes help:

The 5-inch EasyGroomer is perfect for dogs, cats and other small pets. It gently removes loose hair, dirt and dander on all parts of your pet’s body, including their legs and bellies. The EasyGroomer’s blade is especially useful for sensitive-skinned animals, too. Tiny barbs on the end of every tooth grab dead, scaly hair and pull it out from the ends rather than digging down into the coat and potentially scratching sensitive skin. Because of the blade’s unique design, many pets actually find the grooming process very relaxing and enjoyable. Cats especially appreciate the EasyGroomer because the blade actually mimics a cat’s tongue. Warm and sunny days are perfect for letting your horse dry naturally. Use a sweat scraper to remove/whisk away as much water as possible before thoroughly drying the entire body. ( See EquiGroomer “WaterWisk” scraper/squeegee tool here .) Then cover with a clean sweat sheet in case your clean horse decides to enjoy an enthusiastic roll on the ground! Also, finding and using the right tool, like the EquiGroomer products, will help make the experience easier, gentler and stress-free for both you and your pet!

DO use lots of patience, praise and treats when trimming your dog’s nails. If necessary, do just one or two nails at a time to encourage your dog’s comfort. Before bathing – and in between baths – regular, deep brushing will help stimulate blood circulation in the skin, distribute natural oils throughout the coat and remove dirt, dead hair and dandruff. Regular brushing also keeps shedding under control. Always brush your dog just before bathing for the best results.

Grease 2 cookie sheets. Using a spoon, make balls, about 2” wide and place on the greased cookie sheet. You can put them close together (but not touching) because they will not increase in size. Regular pet grooming is a wonderful and natural experience which not only cares for their coat, but also serves as a powerful bonding experience between you and your pet.Carding is a grooming term – and process – to describe the removal of a dog’s undercoat. The undercoat is the soft, short, downy and dense hair under the top (or outer) coat. The undercoat insulates and protects the skin in colder weather. Run the AC for cooler temperatures. Fans may not always be enough to cool things down (including your rabbit) in extremely hot weather.
