About this deal

Trois Rivières white rums are an absolute reference. They are smooth with a balanced body and an amazing aromatic array with vegetal, mineral and sea-water notes. If you are in the mood for something indulgent, with the mouth-filling richness that comes from something a little sweet, then Villa Sandi’s ‘dry’ Rive di San Pietro di Barbozza is a brilliant place to go. As with many of the very best Proseccos, there is quite a high level of sugar in the fizz, but, because of the aromatic, fresh orchard fruit flavours, the drink still refreshes. This Villa Sandi fizz treads that balance with particular finesse. In strict accordance of AOC standards, our amber rums are matured for over 12 months in large-capacity oak tuns. Slowly and very gradually reduced to 40%, these few months spent in wood impart a superb golden, luminous hue to these delicate rums. The Global Prosecco Masters is a competition created and run by the drinks business, and forms part of its successful Masters series for noble grape varieties, such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir; major wine styles, from sparkling to rosé; and famous regions including Rioja, Champagne and Tuscany. The competition is exclusively for Prosecco.

In existence for over three centuries, Trois Rivières sugarcane plantation is an integral part of Martinique’s heritage. The saga starts in 1660 when Nicolas Fouquet, superintendent of finances to King Louis XIV, acquires land in Martinique with the intention of building the largest kingdom of the French Caribbean. Robust, sweet with primary savours of sugarcane, they reflect the generous climate of Southern Martinique and its unique terroir. Cinzano Pinot Chardonnay comes from the natural fermentation of specially selected Pinot and Chardonnay grapes that provide the exclusive sparkling brut with its fragrant and fruity flavour. Upon the initiative of its former Director Mr. Bourdillon, Maison La Mauny contributed to the recognition of the Martinican terroir and rum-making process so that it also acquired the AOC label, a true guarantee of quality and authenticity. In the past and nowadays, Maison La Mauny premium agricole rums have always been renowned for their quality and are awarded the most prestigious medals at International Rums Competitions. The Cinzano range of sparkling wines includes both sweet and dry versions, each with their own unique characteristics. The Cinzano sparkling wines are ideal for a toast, at the end of a meal, or for any special occasion. Pinot Chardonnay, Prosecco D.O.C., Rosé and Gran Sec are perfect as aperitif and best enjoyed in a flûte, whilst Asti D.O.C.G. and Gran Dolce are best offered at the end of a meal, in a champagne glass, to accompany dessert.

Cinzano Prosecco D.O.C. 75cl, 11% - Italian Dry Sparkling Wine

Reduced slowly and progressively to 40% alcohol by volume, our amber rums are matured 12 months in oak tuns, according to the AOC Martinique standards. This enables them to develop a nice golden colour and fine woody notes while preserving the crisp taste of sugarcane juice Maison La Mauny rums, aged in oak, are luminous and hearty and remarkable for their delightful savours of spices and warm sugar. Sweet Edition is sweet, light and fizzy sparkling wine that is obtained from the noblest grapes, from selected vineyards within Italy.

Cinzano Asti D.O.C.G. is the most renowned of all the Cinzano sparkling wines. It is produced using white Moscato grapes from the D.O.C.G. area of Asti, in the heart of Piedmont. It possesses a sweet and fruity flavour. Prosecco is one of Italy's most beloved sparkling wines. Made primarily from the Glera grape (formerly known as Prosecco), it is generally made in two styles, frizzante (lightly sparkling) or as a traditional sparkling wine. Their taste qualities are particularly smooth: midway between the freshness and bracing effect of white rums and the fullness and complexity of our famous aged rums. Housed in a gold-coloured bottle, no Prosecco does bling better than Bottega. But don’t think that it’s all style over substance, as this fizz has repeatedly proven to be a gold-quality product too, with plenty of peachy fruit, a lovely orange zest lift, and a persistent, dry finish. It’s a fruity but not too sweet style of Prosecco with masses of freshness.

Cynar became popular in Italy thanks to the first ads (during the Italian “Carosello”) performed by the famous actor, Ernesto Calindri and the claim “Cynar, against the attrition of modern life”. Masses of peachy aromatics make this an enticing Prosecco from the first sniff. It then delivers lots of ripe pear and apricot fruit, a mouth-filling creamy fizz, some sweetness, and then a chalky finish for refreshment. A fruity, quite sweet, and appealing example that offers a lot of flavour. Perfect at the end of the meal, it best expresses its characteristics served iced and in slightly frosted glasses. Ideal for any occasion, it brings with it the flavor and aromas of Sardinia spread by the Mistral wind and recalls the carefree atmosphere of dinners in company. Cynar is an artichoke based bittersweet liqueur known for its versatility and distinctive flavour; its taste is enriched by an infusion of 13 herbs and plants. The name of the drink derives from Cynar scolymus, the botanical name for artichoke, as artichoke leaves lend the distinctive flavour. Taken from 2020’s Prosecco Masters – which is a competition solely for the sparkling wine run by the drinks business – the 10-strong selection below represents the top performers from across a range of price points and styles, including the extremely dry to the richly sweet, or the low-priced to luxury level cuvée.

Most versions of Prosecco are made according to the Charmat (or Martinotti) method; unlike the classic method of Champagne, where the secondary fermentation takes place in a bottle, fermentation for Prosecco occurs in a steel tank. This is done as Prosecco is a lighter-styled sparkling wine and winemakers want to preserve as much freshness as possible. (Recently, a few producers have produced Prosecco via the classic method, but this is the exception.) Our aged rums are matured for a minimum of 3 years and up to 20 years in oak casks of various origins: new French casks, former Cognac casks from France and former Bourbon casks from the US. Most of Maison La Mauny aged rums are made by blending various types to obtain the finest balance and enhanced aromatic richness. The top wines were awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze medals according to their result, and those expressions that stood out as being outstanding in their field received the ultimate accolade – the title of Prosecco Master.

The award winning Cabo Wabo Tequila shines with smooth, authentic flavour and unique personality; it is created with respect of the long-standing tequila traditions that made it the drink of choice of the wise and venerated mystics of Mexico. No shortcuts are taken in making Cabo Wabo, unlike other brands which legally mix up to 49% of fillers and still call their product "tequila". The harvest of myrtle begins in November, a centuries-old, unique and precious tradition - like its homeland, Sardinia - which is renewed year after year to create Mirto Zedda Piras. The typical Sardinian liqueur is obtained exclusively from fresh Sardinian myrtle berries, harvested by skilled hands who know the impervious places of the island, where this spontaneous shrub grows, the fruit of which ripens inland and along the sunny and windy coasts of the island, exclusively on wild shrubs.
