Volcano is the campaign's last map and by far its most volatile. Islands will keep emerging semi-randomly (in other words each side will make them emerge where it makes their opponents' lives harder), until enclosed seas are created. A scaled down re-imagining of Captain Sonar with more focus on the turn-by-turn play, Sonar Family does a great job of recapturing the essence of the original, although in a less bombastic chaotic gameplay. I've played Captain Sonar a few times and I really enjoyed it. The trouble is just how infrequently I would get exactly 8 people together to play this game. Captain Sonar is what happens if you take Battleship and make it something a whole lot more than a guessing game, and add in some social interaction and team camaraderie.He passes the sheet to a teammate, who does the same with another section of the submarine and continues passing it on until all sections are secured (including all teammates' initials). If there are fewer than four players on a team, some players will need to secure multiple sections. In Oh Captain only the captain is active and controls all the stations for which players are recruited step by step into the game.
