Adding a pair of internal antennas is fairly easy. Diverting power from one of the motherboards USB ports to the bluetooth part of the adapter is more of a challenge, but I trust my soldering skills. two possibilities ..... or it is too attenuated (I see it oscillating between -73 dbm and -80dbm from my office ... I have new PC and I have problems with WIFI 6 AX201 160Mhz at motherboard Msi Pro B660M-A Wifi DDR4. PC is old 8 days. I getting Error code 10 and sometimes is 43. What I notice while I follow your instructions, I uninstall Bluetooth but after refreshing Device Manager he appear again. At App & Feature aka. Add and remove programs, there was not Intel Bluetooth. So, concept proven! Next step is to try an "m.2 sata to wifi" adapter because I am unwilling to sacrifice the second Nvme SSD bay. After the issue of not being able to connect to 5GHz wifi 6, I tried connecting to Wifi 5, it turns out that the highest speed is only 190mbps. The second AX210NGW will be replacing the AC9560 in its miniPCIe/CNVi slot. The system will not recognize AX210NGW no.2 as a wifi-adapter, so wifi won't work.For me that seems rediculas to pay 2.5Kbusd for premium laptop which cant be upgraded to such a small thing like WiFi 6 module of next generation. I am considering to replace my 500GB EVO Plus system SSD with a 2TB version, free up the second NVME-slot, and build in the AX210NGW. What mean for you "manully shutdown", "manually restart" - I usually go at Windows icon then Power -> Restart/Shutdown. but you're right, I'm going to see a radio amateur friend, who will measure that my pc is not out of the ordinary!
The concerning thing is the fact that the Wireless (Wi-Fi 6) driver for the AX201 is yellow-banged and not loading. we need more information on the reason for this yellow-bang. Regarding my instructions, it is *very* important that you following these instructions exactly - especially disabling Internet access and keeping it disabled - including across reboots - until told to restore it at the end. By 'manually shutdown and restart', I mean that, if a reboot is not automatically initiated by the installer/uninstaller, you need to do so manually - and yes, via the Shutdown-Restart sequence. I haven't even tried using 160 MHz channel width, that current AC9560 somehow refuses to use, but where I expect the AX210NGW to benefit even more.So, everyone must decide for him or herself whether you want to sacrifice the second NVME slot in favour of Wifi-6E. I have a Dell Optiplex 7090 with AX201 network adapter, been having problems lately, at least 3 months of this. I have a huawei AX3 Wifi 6 router, before it was working fine, usually got 2.1gbps speed, suddenly AX201 dropped. I have a notebook with AX201 showing similar symptoms. Here's the plan: Replace my pair of 500 GB EVO Plus by the single 2TB SSD. So, i'll free up the second NVME slot and populate it with the NVME Wifi adapter + AX210NGW no.1. Any way ,just now saw Youtube video reg installation of AX200 as a replacement of 9560NGW in to DELL inspiron 9th intel generation,that is CNVIO1 support,same as MSI gs75. Disable Internet access. Unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable wireless. Keep disabled until told to re-enable.
and indeed, it is always (always!) a (very) bad idea to take a counterfeit intel chipset, the same with a chipset other than intel The PAN device is a virtual device, implemented in software. It sits on top of whatever underlying Bluetooth transport (hardware and driver) has been made available (in this case by Intel). It is provided as part of Windows and the driver provider will * always* be identified as Microsoft. There are two down-sides to this solution. First, you lose an Nvme-slot. Secondly, the AX200 will not have bluetooth functionality, because that requires an additional connection to a USB powersupply. The adapter card has a seperate connector for that, and a cable is included, but there nowhere to connect it inside the laptop. To get that working you'd have to somehow connect / solder the 2 wires to USB powerlines. Other option is to lead the USB cable externally and plug it into a USB port (that would actually be a third disadvantage).
