There is NO TIME LIMIT. The team which shouts the answer first get the next turn. If the same team has a second turn, their next describers take their turn. After the CONTROL winners' turn, play passes on to the next team as if that had been their normal turn. Say the word or any derivative eg. if the word is "post" you may not say "postage" or "postman"; for "swim" you may not say "swimmer" etc. The red team has reached the finish space. If they are able to win the Control round they will win the game. If the spinner points to an orange or red segment no bonus is won, however if there is any doubt at all because the arrow points to a line, spin again. So I will admit that I had some mixed feelings about Articulate!. As a fan of party games there were a lot of things that I liked. Unfortunately the game kind of fails to distinguish itself. Describers must be careful not to break any of the description rules (see below). If they break one of these rules they forfeit the turn. FinishWhile Articulate! is not going to win any awards for its originality, that does not mean that it is a bad game. In fact I enjoyed the game quite a bit. I have always enjoyed this formula of trying to describe words to get my teammates to guess them. This holds for Articulate! as well as it maintains the key elements of what makes these type of games enjoyable. It is satisfying coming up with words that help your teammate guess a lot of answers in a short period of time. If you like these type of games or think the concept sounds interesting, I see no reason why you wouldn’t enjoy the game. Unfold the board and put the arrow spinner in the centre hole. Players divide into teams of two or more. The more players per team the better. If for example there are eight players two teams of four is better than four teams of two. Each team select one playing piece and put it on the start segment. By common consent decide which team will start. To begin each team’s turn they will choose which players will be the Describers and Guessers. These roles should alternate so all of the players will play as both roles. The number of Describers and Guessers on the team will depend on the number of players on each team: When describing the word/phrase the Describer(s) have to follow certain rules. If they break one of these rules, their turn will end immediately and they won’t earn any spaces for the round. The rules Describer(s) must follow are as follows:
