While this premise had unlimited potential, this novel didn't live up to it on any level for me personally and I can't say the juice was worth the squeeze in this instance. Favorable points: The DID aspect, meaning meeting each of Penny's personalities. Penny's brother's sort of podcasts. I just thought the mystery was a bit too cheesy for me. It focuses on a mom learning that her daughter might be a murderer, and I've found that mother-daughter books don't always resonate with me-- especially if they focus on the motherhood element. Sometimes thrillers have a more "women's fiction" feel to them and this definitely was that, in my opinion. That doesn't necessarily make it a bad book but it wasn't what I was looking for at all. Upset or feeling better, it doesn’t matter. Talk to them or call them if you are away. Ask them if they are doing well or tell them your problems if you ever have one. And if you think that it’s not a serious matter, let them know that you are brave enough to handle it on your own. Sometimes listening to your voice is all they need to not worry. Let them know that you are doing just fine and you’re always there for them just like how they are always there for you. 2. Be responsible.
