Ruby and Bella were fairly close friends before Bella's initial expulsion from Rainbow High. Along with Jade, Ruby was one of the ones most effected by Bella's leaving. Once Violet posted Bella's expulsion online and it went viral Ruby helped Jade come up with a plan to get revenge. Ruby was happy to see Bella return to Rainbow High, with Bella happily accompanying the other girls to surprise Ruby after her first shift at the Rainbow Union. January 8th, 2021: Bella makes her last appearance as a member of the runway group in " Enter Amaya". Like with Daria and Stella, she is one of Bella's new roommates. She gets along fast with her when Sheryl spills the tea on her new runway group. Sheryl later offered for Bella to join her and Gabriella's Radiant Week team which Bella accepted, together they won and got the opportunity to spend some time at Pacific Coast High. They're later seen cheering in the crowd along with Gabriella and Finn in " Rainbow Vision Finale: Part 2" and " Rainbow Vision Finale: Part 3". Although officially a part of Series 2, Bella was released a little earlier than the other characters. This may be because she was a part of the main cast of characters in the animated series.

Ruby, along with the rest of her group, is seen working on the runway group project when they are interrupted by Ms. Wright who lets the girls know that Bella is being expelled. Being understandably upset, Ruby and the rest of girls immediately panic and are heartbroken. They are then abruptly introduced to Amaya, someone Ruby is shown to be unsure of. For her 24 inch doll, her complexion and eye design remains the same as Series 2, but her eye makeup now is only faint blue and green and her lips are now rosy pink. While she was initially unsure of Amaya due to her being Bella's replacement, Poppy grew to appreciate Amaya as part of her runway group, however they do not interact one on one much. October 2nd, 2020: Amaya was mentioned in episode 1 of Rainbow High " When the G.L.A.M. Hits The Fan".

With the story still going on, Violet reveals to her and Skyler that Sunny didn't steal anything and was instead just exchanging it. This makes Ruby and Skyler apologize, with Sunny accepting it and them all hanging out together shortly after. Bella appears to be quite talented in her focus 'set design'. This is showcased specifically in " The Prize at the End of the Rainbow", when she mentions that she wins 'a lot of awards'.
While most of the girls have grown a bit closer to Amaya, Ruby is still rather distant from her, seeing her as nothing but a replacement for her friend. In particular, she tells Bella that she deeply misses her, having Jade text her about these feelings. Amaya, still trying to win everyone's approval, shows Ruby and the rest of the girls the school's special Color Change Chamber. Ruby in particular is very impressed by this, and she starts to see Amaya as her own person and as a part of the group. Bella and Avery became close friends when they bonded about feeling unsure of their friendships, with Avery opening up about Ainsley shutting her out. To mend their feelings, Avery takes Bella out on a joy ride in her car, bonding them and cheering them both up. Although they don't interact much, they are still friends since they hang out with each other often in their group of friends. Amaya's Series 1 boots are inspired by a pair of boots featured in Moschino's 2014 Fall/Winter Runway collection.
