About this deal

All our changing robes are made in the UK they are our own designs and patterns and not available for anyone else. We choose local suppliers where we can, with sustainability at the forefront of everything we do. We don't have huge production runs and lots of manufacturing machinery just local people using sewing machines and their skills. Each changing smoc is made in the same way with care taken to ensure quality and consistency. Another small but clever feature to look for in a robe is the addition of a set of changing holes for your hands. By not having to put your arms inside the robe, you'll have extra mobility while dressing and undressing.

This is a tried-and-tested changing robe from Northcore that will keep you warm on those chillier days spent by the beach. It's also made from 100% terry towelling making it very water absorbent. The oversized fit allows enough room for changing, but if you want to use it purely as a coat (and why wouldn’t you?) size down. We're big fans of M&S' entire fitness line, Goodmove, and are thrilled they've dipped their toe in the wild swimming trend. This changing robe is everything you'd expect from the staple high street brand: unfussy, top quality and good value. Sleeve length: Do you plan on wearing your change robe through summer and autumn and into winter? If so, long sleeves might be the most sensible option, preferably ones with adjustable cuffs so you can seal off against any potentially freezing winds come November. Shorter sleeves meanwhile, are a better, more flexible option for those fair weather swimmers only, or for those wanting to avoid trapping any more sand than they already have. All the fabric is 100% recycled and unlike other changing robes the outer is made from premium twill, so it really feels like a proper coat.Say hello to your new BFF: changing robes — if you’ve been mainlining (ok, rewatching) Bad Sisters on Apple TV like we have, you’ll have seen the cast sporting them throughout. They're arguably the most important piece of cold water swimming kit (after a swimsuit, that is).

We've got a fantastic selection of poncho towels and waterproof changing robes in a wide selection of colours and sizes. Wear your surf poncho before and after doing your favourite watersport, on a camping trip or at an outdoor sporting event. Is it a changing mat or a changing bag? And what about that cosy bamboo foot muff? This is smoc smoc’s little surprise. Bury your feet in the bamboo muff and warm up those toes as they dry! A changing robe is a big investment, but a good one should last you a lifetime, so if you do decide to take the plunge make sure you've considered the following: This microfibre towelling change robe from Vivida is super fast-drying (it claims to dry four times faster than cotton) and absorbs seven times its weight in water. We've only worn it on warm days and it did dry very fast, but can't speak to how it might hold up in chillier climes.Aesthetics - Some simple changing robes look a bit like towelling ponchos, while others are more technical and outdoorsy, and some of the oversized parka designs look undeniably cool and could be worn day-to-day in the colder months. Features like the elasticated cuffs (no grappling with Velcro with cold hands), large adjustable hood and borg lining keep you warm as the post-swim chills descend, plus the shell is treated with M&S' signature Stormwear technology, which offers brilliant protection against the elements. The changing robes we've chosen here are products we truly recommend and feel are worth their price points — they can be pretty pricey, so we've made sure they're a sound investment and will last the test of time. 16 best changing robes to buy in 2023 Despite all these toasty extras it’s surprisingly lightweight, which is even more impressive when you consider the exterior is tough and weatherproof.

Protection - Your weatherproofing needs will depend on where in the world you are and what times in the year you swim. Look out for waterproof and windproof materials to keep you toasty in inclement weather. In the summer you might be fine with just a towelling robe, but they don't offer much protection against rain. Their interchangeability doesn't stop there though. With these nifty little snaps, you'll be able to clip your robe to a sun lounger or chair while on holiday, gaining extra comfort for lounging wherever you and your robe go. We've worn this for everything from wild swimming and camping to dog walks, and it's done a sterling job at keeping us warm and dry in all weathers, all while looking chic too. What more can you really ask for? Our Saltie Lite Change Robe is perfect for drifting, swimming, mountaineering, travel, kayaking, hiking & camping plus many more activities. Side snaps are a priceless feature for when you want some diversity in your changing robe. Their ability to turn your robe into a large beach towel in a matter of seconds is very useful, especially when the priorities of the day revolve around as much beach or pool time as possible.Someone on Cosimac’s marketing team had their head screwed on right when they came up with the brand name — this changing robe really is incredibly cosy. Size - Generally you want a changing robe that's long and roomy enough to use without exposing yourself to the cold or, you know, just exposing yourself. First favoured by chilly surfers needing somewhere to shelter while changing out of wetsuits and rash vests, they're now also used by wild or cold water swimmers, paddle boarders and general outdoorsy folk. There are two types,' says Rew. ' Microfibre or towelling ones where you dry yourself off, change (neatly avoiding flashing or doing the towel dance) and then take them off. And then there's the big coat variety, which have fleecy linings and waterproof outers, where you can change and then keep them on, creating an individual micro-climate.' As iconic as they are ubiquitous, changing robe pioneer dryrobe counts Harry Styles and Rita Ora among its fans, and we can see why. It’s really roomy, so easy to change comfortably underneath, and the recycled lining is made to replicate lambswool — big cosy points.
