While purists may accuse Mario Kart 8 of being a opportunistic rehash, Nintendo's goal was to give the Switch a racing game that is fun, polished, filled with content, and able to showcase the Switch's hybrid nature. The wheel feels great and solid for the games that it works with. I recommend using the clamp method vs. suction cups to prevent sliding. A lot of fun for racing fans, and having analog pedals cannot be understated enough for feel and control. The controls do provide a bit of a learning curve, but are fairly rewarding. The ability to remap any buttons, and change the dead zone/sensitivity to 7 different levels is nice. It also works on PC using XInput, which is cool for those intetested. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe features a new option for players to race in Time Trials in the 200cc engine class. This option also features entirely new staff ghosts for each of the courses. July 13, 2014: Due to years of inactivity, Nsxdriven, Launchballer, and Yoshiracer222 are demoted from staff. August 4, 2022: Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass is released with 8 New Retro Courses for the all-new Turnip Cup and Propellor Cup.
