About this deal

At the first half finale, the whole team, with brilliant front man James Keegan tapping his heart out, made the audience go wild. The show and the whole theatre experience was very enjoyable. The newly decorated theatre was wonderful and good to see the west end going from strength to strength well done dominion.

An amazing couple of hours entertainment, the dancing amazing, costumes brilliant. A real tonic and a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Would defo recommend to anyone. Nadine Coyle was one fifth of the pop group Girls Aloud, whose record-breaking success included over 4.3 million singles sales and 4 million albums sales in the UK alone. Irish dance champions Fergal Keaney and Cathal Keaney will be joined by Morgan Corner and James Keegan (also world Irish dancing medal holders) in the role of the Lord of the Dance. We were amazed by the continuity of the show. It is a seemless masterpiece putting irish dancing upon a pedestal. Great music too. All the dancing was in perfect step & performed to perfection Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is directed by legendary Irish dancer Michael Flatley and tells the mythical story of a Lord who must fight dark forces threatening a futuristic world. The production contains dance, live music composed by Gerard Fahy, singing, acrobatics and even holographs.

If you had to list the cultural definers of contemporary Irishness, you'd include Seamus Heaney, Van Morrison, maybe The Pogues and definitely Michael Flatley.

Michael: “A couple of things, first of course the night my wife said yes, the night my son was born. Other than that… Being on stage at the Palladium, when the lights go down, when I come on, it is going to be all about that moment. It used to be my dream was to dance in Madison Square Garden in New York, a football stadium, Wembley Arena, and I am delighted I managed to do most of them. Now I bring young stars, and stars they are. My happiness now is to watch them dance.” Q: [To Nadine] How does it feel to be part of the show? The dancing was superb but overall the show was disappointing. No live music (even the on-stage instruments were mimed - very poorly). No real plot as far as I could tell and the whole show felt very disjointed. The costumes were far too revealing with no real reason to be. A shame as I was really looking forward to it.

Last week Michael Flatley welcomed press to the London Palladium where his final West End show, entitled Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games, opens next Monday (1st September) for a limited run. Flatley’s productions have sold out in theatres around the world for years, and he insists this is due to such positive word of mouth. January to 31 December: Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Macedonia, England, The Lord of the dance needs to protect his people against Don Dorcha, the Dark Lord. It's a dangerous task for The Little Spirit, who travels through time to help the Lord keep his people safe. As the dark power challenges our hero, this epic traditional Irish folk tale draws you into a compelling, unforgettable and truly spellbinding mythical universe. Lord of the Dance is an Irish dance show and dance production that was created, choreographed, and produced by Irish-American dancer Michael Flatley, who also took a starring role. The music for the show was written by Ronan Hardiman.

As the story unfolds, we get some nice female performances from Caroline Gray as heroine Saoirse and Andrea Kwern as bad girl Morrighan the seducer (boo!). Flatley's return to performance in Feet of Flames Taipei in 2009 marked the first step to his return in the show.Lord of the Dance had preview shows at the Point Theatre in Dublin from 28 June to 1 July 1996. The show staged a premiere performance on 27 June 1996 – the video was filmed on 2 July 1996. This is my fourth experience of an Irish dance show and was not disappointed. A few little surprises this time, and all in all a very enjoyable show. Brilliant show to watch. Excellent dancing, good music, lovely atmosphere. I took my daughter to see this show as a birthday treat and we both totally enjoyed it. Excellent location of theatre, right next to embankment tube station. with Michael Flatley – 28 June to 30 December: Ireland premiere, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand This was absolutely brilliant. Me and my husband went together totally for me but he admitted that he really enjoyed it too and that meant swallowing his pride!

With new music by composer Gerard Fahy, this ‘extraordinary and supremely stirring show’ (Daily Telegraph) combines the best of tradition with all the excitement of new music and dance. The eponymous number of the show ("Lord of the Dance") begins with a two pairs of males accompanying a pair of females in an introductory dance before the eponymous character dances to the shows' upbeat theme. The number ends with the title character being joined by his troupe. Birthday treat for my husband, who always wanted to see the original Riverdance. After this performance I really wish we had made a greater effort to see them. Our 21 year old daughter was with us and thought it was also wonderful! Gerard Fahy's music is big and Rachael O Connor has some swooping soul-influenced numbers as Erin the Goddess. The show did not use the original stage set design but upgraded it to a modern design consisting of seven erect rectangular screens with a set of stairs also acting as screens. New lighting was introduced and aircraft landing lights were used as stage lights to add to the effect. The show also featured updated and redesigned costumes from the original show.
