That fact does not detract at all from this magnificent book which should be in your library whether you’re an aficionado of Greek cuisine or not. The servings indicated were also very incorrect. It was obviously written for the experienced cook and is not recommended for a novice in the kitchen. Vefa is considered to be one of the major authorities of Greek food and these 600 recipes are a distillation of her life’s work. With over 600 recipes, Greece The Cookbook is more like an encyclopedia of Greek cooking. Comprehensive and a culinary classic, this one of the best Greek cookbooks out there.
