Some oils have a higher SAP, such as coconut oil, meaning that it takes more lye to make them into soap and some, like jojoba, have a much lower rate. So I wouldn’t substitute jojoba in this case, unless you do a recalculation on it and find out exactly how much lye you need. But…you can use jojoba oil as an additive for more moisturizing quality. For these recipes, I’d use 2 tablespoons of excess oil, but not much more. Too much, and there isn’t enough lye to react with the oil, so your soap has a higher chance of becoming rancid. Hope this helps!First, you have to make the soap, using a hot process method. (I use my slow cooker which works perfectly for both parts of the process.) The glycerin soap-making process is called the hot process because you cook the soap mixture. Add solvents to make clear soap Glycerin soap combines glycerol, vegetable oils, or animal fats. It is a natural humectant and hypoallergenic. That’s why it is best for sensitive and acne-prone skin. It is an excellent moisturizer for dry or flaky skin with a lower pH level. Hypoallergenic” is a term that means a particular product isn’t likely to cause an allergic reaction. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration doesn’t recognize this attribute or regulate the way this term is used. I now have been left with a completely full bottle of absinthe at my house, if anybody wants to come for a party. (Just kidding about the second part.) Superfatting glycerin soaps
