I've seen a few articles suggesting that the newest building regs update make Gapotape a requirement, which is rubbish. Xpanda 8-44 will expand from 8mm in its compressed state to a maximum of 44mm once unwound and applied. At this size Xpanda will provide a water tight seal between 7-18mm, a thermal, acoustic and draught/dust seal from 19-22mm and anything larger will be purely a gap filler. This foam tape will expand to fill gaps and will adapt to uneven surfaces, providing long term thermal and acoustic insulation.
