About this deal

As you might have heard, Dying Light Platinum Edition has arrived on the Nintendo Switch and it's been described by the folks over at Digital Foundry as another "intelligently designed port" for the hybrid system. News Can't Find Dying Light On The Switch eShop? It Might Be Because It's Currently Banned In Germany While the first game is a port, sequel Dying Light 2: Stay Human - Cloud Version was announced for 4th February 2022, so for those willing to stream it'll be an option to... Although Dying Light 2 was limited to a cloud release on the Nintendo Switch, the first Dying Light was actually a remarkable achievement on the hybrid platform. With this in mind, the Switch version of the original game has this week received a new update.

About The Game

I think the most impressive thing is when there are dozens of shambling zombies on the screen, and the frame rate stays solid. Having played and loved the PS4 version, it's quite a graphically demanding game. I will be interested to see how the Switch Port turns out.

aresius Yeah I can imagine it’s probably OK for melee weapons. It’s more the disconnect for me of only being able to use gyro sometimes. Not the prettiest version on the market" downplays how good Dying Light on the Switch really looks. This isn't an Outer Worlds port where it's obvious at a glance that sacrifices were made to get it running. Rather, Dying Light easily holds its own compared to even the PC version, and the visual compromises are only apparent if you consciously look for them. While performance does occasionally dip, I have yet to find an instance where it interfered with my ability to play. I'm wondering if this is going to be similar to Aliens on Switch; another cross generation game that did surprisingly well because the devs were able to take advantage of more modern tools and techniques. While i play my switch mostly handheld...playing, outer worlds, or witcher 3 and crysis remastered you deal with very blurry gameplay which can be difficult at times because in crysis you literally can't see where anyone is unless they are right in front of you... While its great games like this are on switch...its always clear you're playing the barely functional lesser version of games.. here's hoping eventually when better switch hardware comes out all of these games will be upgraded Easily my second favorite open world game of the last generation of platforms (behind The Witcher III). I'll be eager to double dip for a Switch physical copy. In 2011, Techland released Dead Island on most seventh generation consoles to mostly positive reception. Still, Dead Island had never quite been the game that Techland envisioned it to... It's a great game but I think it will be downgraded heavily or make the Switch self implode trying to run this.

Now you can enjoy Dying Light to the fullest with the richest version of the acclaimed open world zombie survival game. Containing four DLCs and seventeen skin bundles, Dying Light: Platinum Edition brings together everything you need to explore all the post-apocalyptic world has to offer. Drive across Harran, as you spread carnage in your buggy, face and survive Bozak’s trials, explore new quarantine zones, and enjoy plenty of new skins and weapons! If you happen to be located in the UK, across Europe, or even Australia and New Zealand though, you...

Where To Buy

Looking at any surface and tapping ‘R’ will prompt Kyle to climb, and your mobility is often your most important asset to getting through in one piece. You can always fight the zombies, and there are often situations where you have no choice, but it’s made abundantly clear that this isn’t the most ideal option. Motion controls and local wireless play confirmed also? If so then I'll buy 2 physical copies day 1. This game has become one of my favorite games of all time, so at some point I'll need to get it on switch, maybe a little after dying light 2 releases next February

This is one I’d like a demo for. I enjoy open worlds, and this one seems like it’d be fun to take a stab at. Mountain_Man Thanks, it’s a pity they didn’t include it for everything. Maybe that will be in the patch too. Rove an infected world where only the strongest will make it. Master your combat skills to fight monsters of all kinds, both human and the undead. Parkour through the roofs, craft weapons, and help other survivors while you’re confronting your own nightmares! Itachi2099 There were a few similar sort-of zombie games in that era, and I've been awake since 5am, so... If you are like me and absolutely don't want to play this on your PS4 the review "reads like a 9/10 easily". So I think I will give this one a spin. Thanks for the review.During today's Nintendo Direct there was an appearance for Dying Light Platinum Edition, with a 19th October release date confirmed. Mitch has been a fan of Nintendo ever since he got his start on the GBA in 2005. When he's not busy playing games or writing, you can find him down at his local MMA training facility learning how to punish the unrighteous. The only major complaint we can really muster against Dying Light is that this Switch port is obviously not the prettiest version on the market." Which makes sense, the Switch isn't gonna be as powerful as an Xbox or Playstation. Been playing since last Saturday (copy came early) and love my experience in handheld mode on my Switch oled. I haven't tried local wireless play yet, but I will buy another copy eventually. I think the online co-op is broken though because everytime I try to join someone else's game then it crashes. Other then that minus some minor frame rate drops, the game is great! My physical copy didn't come with any of the extra goodies though 😕.
