About this deal

DrayTek modems are designed provide your router with a reliable, consistent, and stable internet connection that aims to reach each corner of your working space. We are constantly testing for increased compatibility, so you can be sure that each DrayTek router is made according to the latest technological advancements. Unfortunately this Model does not have a scheduled reboot feature due to its main function being a bridge modem. May be in the future Draytek will include but for the latest firmware to date i.e 5.2.1 . There is no scheduled reboot either in bridge or router mode. There is also no CLI command to do a sys tem reboot. I will make a wish request for Australian users but there will be no ETA. It has support for ADSL (not enabled in this current firmware), VDSL and G.Fast so i think can be considered a all in one replacement for those on VDSL but thinking of going G.Fast if they are not on the list for full fibre (yet). The Vigor167 is a modem for supervectoring profile 35b and all common VDSL and ADSL variants via profile 17a, with and without vectoring, up to DSL light with 384 kbit / s. The modem is suitable for both older connections and the new All-IP BNG connections. If your end device does not support VLAN tagging, our Vigor167 modem also compensates for this and can do the tagging for you.

Can i ask what MTU yours set? Also did you make ANY changes at all to your settings when connecting this up? We have an application note in our knowledge base that shows how to access the router web interface. It is available at: if you open the web console (middle button on the top right next to the floppy disk symbol) and type vdsl status it will tell you the path mode and interleave. In the delivery state, the Vigor167 is set as a pure modem so that the VLAN tag 7 is set by the modem. Your subsequent dial-up router therefore no longer needs to set a VLAN tag. If your ISP uses a different VLAN tag, please change the value of the VLAN tag in the modem's web interface accordingly. The Vigor167 replaces the Vigor165, the Vigor166 remains available as a G.Fast modem. This has to do with the fact that there is no chipset that supports ADSL and G.Fast at the same time, as both have a similar frequency spectrum and interference could occur. Thus there is the Vigor167 for ADSL / VDSL / supervectoring connections, the Vigor166 serves G.Fast connections with 106Mhz and 212MHz When I do an ipconfig, it shows nothing at the default gateway when it's connected directly to the PC. You can adjust the SnR settings on the Drayteks. I can usually squeeze and extra 10Mbps line speed out of mine if I choose to do it. Much more and the link becomes unstable, Anyone used the Vigor 167 with FTTC. I tried Bridge mode – the software refers it to simplistically as modem mode ie no advanced settings like the previous gen had.

Although I wonder for if having SOS will be beneficial for me as I'm quite far from my NBN FTTN node and only sync at 25/6 Mbps. Ideal partner device for DrayTek dual-WAN products or any other vendor's Ethernet WAN firewall. Reports DSL Line Status on DrayTek Vigor routers.Seems to be a rev-up of existing Vigor 165 - with some indication that the Vigor 165 will be replaced in the lineup. The Vigor 166 remains as is - it has a different chipset, the chipset that supports G.FAST connections. When running the tp link theres no noticeable line drops or anything, if anything its better – I think the draytek is being a bit too conservative. Hi folks and Mr Dreytek, I've just replaced a DM200 (which was apparently confusing poor Mr NBN due SRA ?!?!) with a Dreytek Vigor167. Upgraded it to latest software (5.2), connecting was easy enough, and all seems to happy. And anything on the second router will still be able to reach upwards/outwards to any IP on the main router, including the web gui.

Vigor 130 modems provide BT Superfast Fibre and ADSL2+ capability and feature one LAN port. This is the standard modem design. On the plus side it does work fine in bridge mode giving the same speed as my BT HH on an older router (I've sent off for a new faster one) I changed modem code to 5.12.18.16 and the FTTN 50/20 connection has been up for 31hrs. My NBN connections typically stay up for 1 to 4.5 days (ADSL2 despite being slower was so much more stable than NBN).I've been running one for the last 4-5 months, and been happy. It has been syncing well and seems to have been quite reliable. I got it to replace a box that apparently couldn't handle "SOS". a. My SNR up and down is 12dB (which is probably a stability profile). Is there a Telnet command to drop this (as in earlier Draytek boxes)? I did some exploring but couldn't find any "vdsl snr" equivalent.
