They'll just skip right to "create a resume". We think that's a huge missed opportunity. That's why you're going to focus here first. Learn how to learn Efforts by BaseCS were largely successful, and my one wish is that it had continued to produce content...but this was all produced by a single person with a full-time job, a podcast, a YouTube channel, and apparently no compensation from Medium. A HUGE thing that will help you stand out from the crowd, is actually researching the company that you’re going to interview with, along with the person who is going to interview you. And here's some general advice to consider: you are going to be dealing with people who may be pretty tired of interviews. Smile if you can. Try to show enthusiasm. Have a conversation, and try to talk to the interviewer the way you might communicate if the two of you were pair programming, but they were more senior. How to Start Your Interview Prep

It may not seem important now, but I highly recommend that you start using just one language while you practice answering technical questions. This way you’ll not only get better and more experienced in that language, but you’ll also not run into any hidden issues by accident on the day of your technical interview. Which language should you use for your technical interview?

What interests me about LeetCode is not their premium option, but that they make so much of their service available without it. This is Alex Lee using hashmaps in Java. He does not explain the internals of how they actually work, but he provides practical advice on how to actually use them. That’s totally fine but don’t just stay excited though. Use that energy to take action. Don't wait. Start working through the steps that we’ve covered! Also, think through the common questions that they’re going to ask you. Be genuine, but have an answer in your head so you don’t go blank when asked. Chances are high that you’ve read through this guide before you started to do any of the tasks on it, and you’re excited to get started. Not to fear as these are actually quite easy. The main thing to understand is that the interviewer is looking for final reasons why you shouldn’t be hired. Are there any glaring red flags of how you might not be a good fit for the company? Seriously, this alone can help open the door to FAANG because they want to hire people with a little extra going on. Well, unless you’re applying for a role that requests a specific language, I recommend either Python or Javascript.

What you’ll learn: Keywords to include on your resume, communication tips, strategies to navigate tech interviews, how to think like an interviewer, etc. The application process is generally simple. Experienced candidates can also expect System Design questions, but that is out of the scope of this post. Stephen does an excellent job of thoroughly explaining each method and data structure. He uses plenty of detailed examples, making it very easy to understand. He doesn’t go straight to the solution, he explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand with charts and very descriptive diagrams. It makes for very easy learning, Bravo Stephen you sir are very good at what you do!!! I give my highest recommendation for this course. You won’t be disappointed.” – Essence 12. 11 Essential Coding Interview Questions + Coding Exercises! on UdemyThis short and sweet one-hour video course goes over stress-free coding interview prep, from the soft skills of interacting with your interviewer to the more technical elements like writing code and dealing with algorithms.
