CR is what I'd describe as an entry level, inoffensive Scotch. Neither good nor 'bad'. No peat, not harsh, no Sherry sweetness. Last night I vigorously shook my bottle of CR12 and left it open by the window for about an hour. I have developed this habit in recent months because it really makes a difference. Whisky needs to be woken up.
