Cathy Glass | Goodreads A Terrible Secret by Cathy Glass | Goodreads

I loved your books just finished “A terrible Secret” just wondering what book comes after that one Please need to know what happens with Tilly Reply Already looking forward to your next book. I am reading your Lisa Stone books at the moment and enjoying them..." Excellent as usual from this author. I have great admiration for this author having worked with young people and while I know there are people who believe that they are the stories from the children she cares for, I also believe they are hers too. She has taken a long road from when her own children were small and she and her husband began on the road of fostering. She las learned so much through these years and I believe a lot of parents/ carers could and do learn a lot from reading her books. The names of those involved are changed and the development of the family joins the lessons learned from fostering, by all of the family. This is the story of my adopted daughter, Lucy, who came to me as a foster child and stayed for good.Tao formerly lived in Nigeria, but was kidnapped by his mother and taken to the UK illegally. To help support her debauched life of drinking, and drugs, his abusive mother was a prostitute. The mother cast Tayo out onto the streets after he sustained an injury and was no longer able to earn money for the woman. Based on the horrors that he suffered on the streets of Central London, Glass wrote that she had never met a child that showed the kind of strength as Tayo. He had the kind of inner resolve that she had never seen before. Continued Success Couldn't put the book down! I love Cathy Glass' work and this was no different. A really personal memoir and all the more touching as Lucy features in other books too." Couldn’t put the book down! I love Cathy Glass’ work and this was no different. A really personal memoir and all the more touching as Lucy features in other books too. Amazing book as always from Cathy, can't wait for the next! Have read every single one of her books!" The continued success that Cathy Glass experienced following her first two books is evident in popular titles like: “Cut” and

Andrew Lownie Literary Agency :: Book :: Will You Love Me

Publication was in 2020 and the story is set in the very recent past (obvious from the first few sentences). In addition to the success that Cathy Glass has known for the foster care related memoirs she has written, she has also published three novels. The first was titled: “The Girl in the Mirror”, a story about a young woman who uncovers a terrible family secret that was buried long ago. The other two titles are: “My Dad’s A Policeman” and “Run Mummy Run”. Like all of the books by Glass, these novels are based on true stories. Wonderfully written, not only a great author but clearly such a caring person. I think about fostering. Cathy doesn’t sugar-coat it and shows how hard and frustrating it can be…" In the other books I'd read, Cathy's own children were a lot younger and it was nice to read about them as adults and be updated on their lives. Having read all of Cathy Glass’ books, I had high expectations of this book, and they were fulfilled! I recommend this book to anybody.
