Bushmills 21 Year Old single malt whiskey is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured in Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels before being finished for two years in Madeira casks. This imbues our whiskey with rich notes of ripe fruit, like succulent apricots and juicy raisins, and gives a beautiful, caramelized nuttiness with hints of smooth dark chocolate. This has been the standard single malt release from Bushmills for many years and is drawn from tripl.. Unusually powerful start for a Bushmills - with a slightly alcoholic touch. Crème brûlée, applesauce, mango, papaya, herbal tea, chewing gum, tender oak. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect. Nose: An open fruit basket from the off, with a sprinkle of roses on top just for good measure. A few strands of liquorice can be found woven in between the pears, grapes, peaches and bananas, all of which are giving off an intense aroma as they ferment in the sun. Some honey is drizzled on top just to douse the resultant smoke, leaving us to enjoy a densely sweet nose of sublimely fortified fruit. 2.5

It is classy and timeless simultaneously. Bushmills 10 is where Bushmills really starts getting good and that triple distilled Irish single malt gets a chance to shine. From the complex and aromatic nose to the warm fruity palate it’s wonderful whiskey and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s quality drams like this that make me wonder why so many folks have such a bias against Irish Whiskey. Sure some of the blends are crap, but so are some Scottish blends. The single malts and single post sills though, those can be very nice indeed.

Bushmills 16 Year Old single malt whiskey is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured in Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels before being finished for up to a year in port pipes. This unique combination of casks imbues it with big and bold notes of concentrated dark fruits, nutty treacle toffee and dark chocolate. Very nice fruity-sweet nose. Summer blossom honey, caramel, green apple, honeydew melon, pineapple, custard, juicy lemon cake.Uncomplicated, summery and fruity-looking bottling. It's great that it was finally bottled with 46%. I would also like that very much for the 21-year-old.
