On the outsole of the Ghost 13 are two different rubbers: harder wearing rubber in the heel and softer blown rubber in the forefoot. S-257 Cushsole is a midsole compound used as an insole to deliver even more cushioning and flexibility. My first run in Ghost 13 was one of familiarity. The Ghost personality came through strongly even in my first couple of metres in them. All applicable customs and import duties and any other charges are the responsibility of the customer. The general consensus on the traction of the Brooks Ghost 13 is that it’s good both on wet and dry surfaces.

A little bit of extra padding lines the heel collar for a plusher step-in feel, and a soft tongue is comfortable on top of your foot. Add to that a cushioned (and removable) insole, and the Ghost 13 feels plush all around. The soft midsole lends the Ghost 13 an easier ride than ever before, but it maintains the same do-anything attitude and accommodating fit that made it a stalwart in your stable of training shoes.I can’t mark the upper of the Ghost 13 down for anything except the fact that it doesn’t have a gusseted tongue.
