About this deal

Motion detection and person detection works really well, person detection can take a few seconds extra to notify you over the standard motion detection, so you may want to fine tune your sensitivity so that you don’t miss the start of clips, again this is where it would be useful to be able to adjust the seconds before recording time as very occasionally I would find it missing the start of the clip when it was using person detection only, but that happened very occasionally. Overall the person detection works really well in both daytime and night time settings on the Amcrest AD410. Storage

I hadn't thought about it for a while but the Amcrest AD110 stopped waking the app a few months ago when someone hit the bell though it did ring the inside bell. I was always home anyways and did not give it any thought. When I posted the other day it was because I was just stupified that not only did the AD110 now need constant internet access to be configured, but it now REQUIRED internet to use it's features. The doorbell resetting the night vision to smartlight/auto after a reboot is a bug. It can be changed with the API automatically at sunset via Home Assistant to ensure it is set how you want it. I had mine set to Auto (the default) along with bright LED porch lights so the doorbell was always in color mode at night. Maybe you can also increase your porch light brightness instead of using automation as a workaround? First, I added a view in Lovelace to show the live feed. This new view will be loaded up by my automation when the doorbell is pressed. The code here would depend on how you choose to integrate camera feeds into Home Assistant. I kept it very simple by using an iframe to pull up the Blue Iris web player. title: Doorbell The only beef I have with this door bell is that there is no way forcing it to "Night Color" mode only. It will automatically switch from Color to B/W if the light is low and B/W to color if some car shining head light to its image sensor. Definitely it's a feature request to developer to have this option enable. Ring PRO suffer the same issue when it first came out but they eventually update the firmware to have it permanently set Color mode at night. Really hope Amcrest look into this 100%Upgrade your smart home game with Home Assistant's latest voice features! Assistant pipelines, ESPHome smart speakers, VOIP, and more! I used Node-RED for the automation, but this could very easily be scripted out in YAML. It consists of three service calls: Just installed my Amcrest AD110 wifi video doorbell the other day, has been testing and integrated into HA. Now the AD110's video feed is continuously recording in Blue Iris completely over local IP. I can also securely view the live feed from anywhere using UI3 web player from BI. I got the doorbell before I received their rebate offer. I was going to do this write-up anyway, works out wellEdit: Slight progress, I can now reboot the device but not Factory reset. I removed my device from the Amcrest Smarthome App and removed the device which was shared to her from her app and now it does seem to reboot but no matter how long I hold that button down I do not hear the announcement and the ring only flashes blue for about 3 seconds while it reboots.
