About this deal

The thing to note about this LED is it produces a larger beam than most other LEDs in the same reflector. So even though this has an orange peel, TIR, style setup, you do get a nice and wide hot spot. Otherwise it will look like other TIR. It’s good for walking around outside, or moving about where you need a decent amount of balanced light with some flood and some throw to it. This is the “all around” optic.

Great review, yours are helping me decide between this (but at 4000K), the TS21 and the Sofirn SC31 Pro. And here’s the light beside my custom engraved TorchLAB BOSS 35, an 18350 light. I reviewed the aluminum version of that light in both 35 and 70 formats. The Wurkkos FC11 is a budget everyday carry and general-purpose flashlight powered by an 18650 battery with USB-C charging, a side e-switch, a magnetic tailcap, and a high-CRI Samsung LH351D LED. Bluetooth Speaker】Withthe built-inblue-toothmusic speakeryou can easily choose and play your favorite music while watching the aurora nebula cloud galaxy at night. You can also use a USBdish to play music.

When the light is turned on, the indicating switch will light momentarily to advise of cell voltage, as follows: Since the FC11 has springs on the head and tail, there’s nothing preventing usage of any type 18650. Flat top, button top, protected, unprotected – they all should work fine. I’m trying to decide which one is better. I think I’m leaving towards the sofrin. Both are good and I’m having a hard time choosing.

The FC11 comes with a Wurkkos branded 3000 mAh unprotected button-top 18650. All 18650 batteries I have available work in the FC11 and can be charged internally. As a direct-drive light, voltage sag affects output, and tested output was higher with a VTC6 than the included battery. There's low-voltage protection with a hard cutoff. Side note: I would expect to lose that USB-C cover at some point, it doesn’t sit very flush at all. Also the tailcap is magnetic if you care about that sort of thing.) Overall

Flashlight body: Aerospace grade 6061 grade aluminum alloy, CNC manufactured to hard-anodized to military grade specification type III, anti-abrasive finish to get solid built body, anti-crash geometry and better heat exchange. Both Turbo and High have a big stepdown after a minute or two, and then the output just trails off. At around 2.9V or so, the switch begins to warn of low voltage. The emitter in this light is the Luminus SFT-40 and I have to say, for such a small LED, there is quite a bit of light output. In fairness, I understand that a higher temperature can look brighter and I would have guessed the color temperature to be around 6000k or maybe a little higher. After reviewing the spec sheet direct from Luminus, it is known that the SFT-40 only comes in a 6500k variant. Being a much cooler temperature light, you do make a sacrifice on the color rendering. You don’t get the same true to life colors you would expect from a warmer light, but the output still allows you to see everything you need, maybe just a slight variation of it. Additionally, at lower settings, you will notice a little bit of a green tint to your beam, but it appears to diminish more at higher output. The light is setup to run these in a narrow spot style clear optic. If you are familiar with the SST-20 at 4000k then you know what you get here, if not it’s an under appreciated LED with a very high CRI. I won’t say it is my favorite, but it’s a very good LED and is increasingly found in the lower cost lights which is a win for everyone. Use and Carry Measurement disclaimer: Testing flashlights is my hobby. I use hobbyist-level equipment for testing, including some I made myself. Try not to get buried in the details of manufacturer specifications versus measurements recorded here; A certain amount of difference (say, 10 or 15%) is perfectly reasonable. What’s Included Texture is one way to differentiate the switch from the charge port cover, but also the charge port cover has more of a rounded (off the body) feel, while the switch feels flatter.
