Although it works on just about any hardware, Google Stadia has some stringent requirements when it comes to your internet connection and data usage. These apply to both Wi-Fi connections and 4G/5G mobile networks. Here’s what the platform recommends:

Screen differences aside, however, games simply don't look quite as sharp streaming over Stadia as opposed to playing a local version of the same title on the same hardware. The reason for this seems to be Stadia prioritizing input over graphical fidelity when streaming; in Destiny I saw a few hiccups where details dropped for a moment, but my controls stayed responsive. This is how Stadia should work, though, since games feeling good to play is far more important than games looking good. And neither Destiny 2 nor Mortal Kombat 11 look bad in Chrome tabs, just not as sharp as playing the same title locally. Smaller ideas for expansion and improvement are more Google Assistant integration features, the ability to view YouTube videos/streams within Stadia in the app or on Chromecast, streaming from the app or on Chromecast, and so on. There was some really good stuff - like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mortal Kombat 11 - plus some games that are probably less appealing to folks like Just Dance 2020.Stadia had some exclusives in its collection, including a child’s first horror game called GYLT. It also hosts highly anticipated titles like Watch Dogs Legion, Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Avengers, and Cyberpunk 2077. Perhaps Google will be able to fix the lag with an update to the controller that optimizes the connection to the Chromecast, but for now, we can't recommend using Stadia to play games on a TV with a Chromecast Ultra. This also means that while the Stadia controller feels very good, we can't recommend the Premiere Edition unless you simply want a Chromecast Ultra for media streaming, completely separate from any Stadia gaming. So if you don't currently own a console or a good gaming PC, or maybe you're traveling and want to play on your phone or tablet, streaming games might be worth looking in to.

Now other recent AAA releases like Madden and Hitman 3 look and play perfectly as well.
