I am a new knitter and yes a purl stich is needed to sew anything with a rib because if you continuously use a knit stitch you will end up with a garter stitch. Knit in 1×1 rib with affordable acrylic yarn, this scarf is great for beginner knitters looking for a new challenge beyond garter stitch. I’m curious if you would have any yarn/color suggestions for knitting this same pattern for the other house colors?
