About this deal

Dragon Shield is one of the most well known brands in the trading card industry. Not only that, they are also probably the most popular when it comes to competitive gaming. Their lineup of premium card sleeves is bar none the best. They have tons of colors, and their quality is unrivaled. But what about their clear penny sleeves? As far as what separated the two? Not very much, honestly, which is why they are co-winners. From a size perspective, these were exactly the same. Again, this small amount of extra material made them much easier to slide in cards. These are noticeably smaller than the Ultra Pro holders, in both width and height. That made for a very tight fit all around. The top of the card basically meets the top of the sleeve, which doesn’t bode well for the top corners and edge of the card from a protection standpoint. When I went to put a card into one of these sleeves, I dinged the lower left corner.

Pro Support is a fairly new brand that has been slowly crawling up the ranks. As of right now, the only products they are selling is card sleeves, but in the future anything can change. Do bear in mind that the vast majority of people that do use penny sleeves will actually be double-sleeving their cards. This means that they are going to put the card into the card sleeve and then they are going to put that card sleeve into another, better on. Beyond basic card storage, however, penny sleeves are not going to be brilliant. You cannot shuffle them properly. As we said before, there is also going to be a lot of space for the cards to bounce about inside. This means that if you are planning on using penny sleeves for cards that you intend to play with, then it is not going to be the best experience.

Trading card sleeves come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes sleeving all of your cards indidiually can be a task intself, especially if they are not deemed as “rare” or “collectible”. Dragon Shield have been in the game for some time, but over the last couple of years many trading card collectors have only spoke highly about these incredible sleeves. We’ll also take you through the different types of sleeves in this article, because you may find that you need to sleeve and also protect with another piece of trading card equipment. Nobody said this was a cheap hobby okay!

We recommend only looking for a penny sleeve that is labeled as being acid free, non pvc, and made out of a high quality polypropylene material. Quantity These sleeves are perfect for keeping your single cards protected and can be used as a single or double sleeve. They were specifically built for trading cards and board games alike. They are high quality, acid-free, and non PVC. Some of you may not like this as the card could poke out of the top if handled heavily, but for me it makes the card look that little bit sleeker. In my opinion Mlyar is simply not cost-effective. Grading as well. For those who are trying to complete a sets it would be insane to try to grade 500 cards, I do not even want to know how much would it cost. Not to mention if they leave outside the US.Acid-Free: If you’re serious about protecting your cards or have particularly valuable ones, you’ll want to buy penny sleeves that are explicitly marked as acid-free. Acid and similar chemicals may rub off on your cards and run the risk of discoloring or staining your cards if they’re stored in them over an extended period of time. Therefore, acid-free penny sleeves are generally the best option for collectors. Penny sleeves have been a ubiquitous part of the hobby for many decades and a vital part of safely storing your collection. One feature I did notice is that the cut is so accurate that the card sits in perfectly, just 1mm away from the top, allowing easy access to your card. I am curious if this is "protecting" enough. Most LGS's I see don't even sleeve bulk rares or expensive rares. Also I am curious if my "Binder Price limit" is honestly too low and I should up it to 5 dollars. I don't have a TON of cards but eventually it's gonna fill pretty fast I imagine if I sleeve every 3 dollar and up card.
