True to the award-winning brewery’s Cornish roots, Sharp’s has launched Offshore Pilsner, named after rare offshore winds which create perfectly clean waves for surfing. Re-branded from its previous guise as ‘Cornish Pilsner’, now with a lower ABV (4.8 per cent). UK Winner Offshore Pilsner, brewed on the rugged north coast of Cornwall, is inspired by those rare moments when the wind turns offshore and hardy surfers are able to catch the perfect wave. It features the perfect balance of continental hops and Czech yeast, giving it a clean, uniquely refreshing taste. Aaron : The range of flavours with beers is more varied than you find in wines. For a long time beer was seen as a commodity but it is so much more than that. We have been trying to change the perception of beer.Aaron : I had been doing brewing for a year when I approached them about developing my career. They enrolled me on a diploma in brewing which is a distance learning course done through the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. Most people doing this job will have done this course. It was a three-year course but I was determined to do it in two which I did. I worked at Ann’s Cottage for a year at Kingsley Village which is where I met my wife Jenna. We both went to Treviglas Academy but we never met there. She works in a bridal shop in Truro . We have a little girl called Willow who’s two-year-old. Named ‘World’s Best’, Sea Fury draws its inspiration from the stormy Atlantic seas that crash into the rugged Cornish coast during the long, dark winter.
