About this deal

For the best performance and latest features, keep your VBRM16 LawnMaster robot mower firmware up to date.

There are loads of things to consider so the whole process might feel a little overwhelming. That’s why I thought it would be good to give you some help. If you’re a fan of LawnMaster then you’ll be pleased to hear that the LawnMaster VBRM16 comes with a 24v 4.0Ah battery that is part of the MX24 range and can be power shared with other tools in this range. These tools include lawnmowers, hedge trimmer, grass trimmers, chain saws & leaf blowers. However, once it’s done, it’s done and you shouldn’t need to do it again. It’s worth taking your time over, as if properly pinned, the wire will soon sink into your lawn as it grows, which in turn protects it from you cutting through it by accident. If you don’t pin it right, the mower might cut through the wire, and you’ll have to do a patch job or lay it down again.

It’s also worth noting that the cutting disc below the mower doesn’t extend right to its edges, so you’re going to end up with a strip of uncut grass on the outside edge of your lawn. To be fair, this happens to some extent with all robot mowers, even those that claim to cut-to-edge.

However, the downside to not having a charging station is that the lawn mower won’t automatically return to it. Some more advanced models will return when the battery is low and many have rain sensors so they’ll return when they detect rain. With the LawnMaster VBRM16, you will need to keep an eye on the weather and if the heavens open, you’ll need to go out and bring the mower in. Control Panel, Setup and App The LawnMaster VBRM16 is a robot mower that is simple in its design and operation but doesn’t scrimp on performance. If you’re looking for something that won’t break the bank and will be a cinch to setup and use, then this is a mower I would highly recommend. Main Features The 3 pivoting blades can be adjusted to cut grass any height from 20mm to 60mm. High specification deep tread wheels and powerful drive system grips slopes of up to 35% (19º). There are two mowing functions to choose from, either a random or spiral cutting pattern. What do I mean by this? Well, unlike most robotic mowers, this one isn’t designed to be left outside all the time. It’s a drop and go machine which can be charged indoors and then you simply need to pop it on the ground and let it do its thing. There are many advantages to this which I’ll dive into in my LawnMaster VBRM16 review. SPOT CUT FUNCTION: for a neat finish, use the additional spiral spot cut function on any uncut grass. It’s possibly better aimed at those with a small garden looking for an easy life, rather than anyone wanting a perfect lawn. No robot mower is good at creating neat edges up to every type of boundary but this model won’t even do a perimeter lap to straighten everything off. I really appreciated the ease with which it gets up and running, though. Powerful, easy to use and built to last, LawnMaster lawnmowers and garden power tools provide a solution for every garden. Our great value lawn mower range includes cordless lawnmowers, electric lawn mowers, robotic lawn mowers and hover mowers. Whatever the shape or size of your garden, we have the best lawnmower for you.

New technology that may have some teething issues, but continual updates and improvements over time For more information on adapting your lawn to get the best performance from the VBRM16 OcuMow™, see our video guide and FAQ.All connectors used in repairing or connecting extra lengths of boundary wire must be of the type supplied in the box (no chocbox connectors) and they should be fully clamped shut with pliers However, the EasyMove 260B carves a niche for itself with the CloudHawk app. This doesn’t have as many features as the apps on some of the more expensive robot lawn mowers but it expands the abilities of the unit significantly. Crucially, you can take total control of when the robot pops out and does its mowing, either by controlling it manually from your device, or by setting up a schedule. These blades can be raised and lowered using a dial on the top of the device, which sits underneath a protective cover. You can choose grass lengths of between 20 and 55mm, though unlike most robots, there’s no height guide on the dial itself – you have to work out where you want it from the Min, Max and Mid guidelines moulded into the plastic. It’s also a good idea to look for a robot mower whose battery can be replaced. This allows you to swap batteries as their performance drops over the years, which is inevitable. Generally speaking, a lithium-ion battery will last less time than the mower itself so having the option to put a new battery in means you’ll get the most out of your machine. Incline
