About this deal

With the Lancool III as your PC chassis, you’ll have plenty of scope when it comes to component choices. To begin with, this case can fit motherboards ranging from Mini-ITX all the way to E-ATX boards (under 280mm wide). Furthermore, this PC case is able to house even the largest graphics cards easily, with 8 expansion slots provided and 420mm of clearance. You’ll also be able to install a powerful PSU to power all your components, as Lian Li has provided a dedicated chamber with 220mm of clearance for an ATX power supply. DeathtoGnomesOwning the first Lancool K62, this is a huge improvement over that, it looks better than that one too.Id gladly take a K62, CM HAF, Rosewill Thor/Aerocool X Predator Now that there is a system inside the Lancool III, the building process was easy. Everything seemed to have a place where it belonged, other than the PSU, which I had to remove from the first HDD cage to make room for the larger PSU. The side view is neat and well organized, with no RGB present in this version of the Lancool III. Comes equipped with 4 x 140mm high airflow PWM fans that provide strong out-of-box cooling performance.

Our acoustic test consists of three scenarios: We run the CPU at full load, the CPU and GPU at full load, and an optimized mode. The CPU full load test runs the CPU and case fans at their maximum speed. For the CPU and GPU full load acoustic test, we also stress the Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC and set the fans at 75% speed, because in gaming the fans never run at 100 percent and are far too loud when they do. Mid-tower modular chassis for all kinds of configurations Equipped with 4 × 140 PWM fans (ARGB or non-RGB) Featured airflow optimized mesh structure and hinged side panels Supports up to 420 radiator or 3 x 360 radiators and a maximum of 10 fans Offers 12 storage drives mounting locations Upgraded cable management solution for a clean build Prior to the Lancool III, there was – can you believe it – a Lancool II model! The new v3 variant sports a similar design, but differentiates itself with a much improved front panel. We tested the Lian Li Lancool III in sweltering hot weather (for the UK) and it stormed through the tests. While we saw some improvement in temperatures as we ramped up fan speeds we also heard a great deal more noise and would strongly recommend you run the fans at a nice, quiet 1,000rpm. Closing Thoughts Built in velcro hooks are cool, but when they age and break how easy to replace with generics are they? The front IO is removable, and can be placed to be oriented at the top or the bottom of the case. Two screws makes the change easy work. In this review will be covering both iterations of the case, an RGB and non-RGB model. Is this large, ATX tower much the same of what we’ve already seen in the full-tower case landscape, or something a bit more special? The answer – a mix of both!

We’ve updated our testing hardware to use Intel’s 12 Gen “Alder Lake” platform, which has shaken up the desktop landscape (and taken prominent spots on our best CPUs for gaming list). We’re now using a Core i7-12700KF, which is being cooled by a Noctua U12s air cooler. Our graphics card is a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC. I previously had a front mounted front push/pull configuration in my Lancool 2, but I did not want to waste the ability for a large 420 front intake fan configuration, so, when building the Lancool 3, I opted for a top mounting the AIO instead, which was a previously impossible configuration in the Lancool 2. Having seen just about every form of case over the years, we can safely say that Lian Li's Lancool III is impressive in just about every way. While the Lancool III hasn't changed much aesthetically from the Lancool II Mesh, it's a much different story functionally. Having the ability to have three 360mm radiators simultaneously makes having enough cooling capacity for the hottest running of components. Multiple storage drive mounting locations are supported for up to 12 x 2.5” SSDs or 4 x 3.5” HDDs and 8 x 2.5” SSDs.

Mid-tower chassis with two modes: Normal Mode/ Reverse Mode Feature multi-directional power button and movable IO module Front and side tempered glass panels for components and RGB display Supports up to 3x 360 radiators and a maximum of 10 fans Offers 9 storage drives mounting space Dual-chamber layout with hooks friendly cable management compartment Five optional accessories: Vertical GPU Kit… fan controllers/ fan hub mounting locations are provided between the large Velcro straps, with an additional one at the removable plate behind the motherboard. I like the rubber grommet + thumbscrew mounting method for mech drives - anti vibration is a big deal, and it makes hotswap easy while people not using spinning rust get to keep those parts out of the case Offering 7 colors and 8 lighting modes (the 8th mode is MB SYNC), the included ARGB controller can be operated via the front IO C and M buttons and can extend its control for 3 additional ARGB devices.

interchangeable pump looks that can be customized with L-Connect 3 Factory installed with daisy-chainable radiator LCP fans Pump motor speed goes up to 4200RPM Includes a newly designed pathway, copper plate and larger impeller for better waterflow for liquid coolant 45-degree tubing connector with tubes’ inner diameter increased to 7mm Full-tower chassis with two modes: Normal Mode/ Reverse Mode Front and side tempered glass panels with a removable pilar for a seamless view of components and RGB lighting Supports up to 3x 420mm radiators and a maximum of 11 fans Offers mounting space for 7 storage drives Dual-chamber layout with cable management compartment and three cable holders Features a multi-directional… The A4-H2O is an 11-liter small form factor case, a collaboration project with DAN Cases. Based on the original DAN A4-SFX case sandwich layout concept, the A4-H2O continues the minimalist and compact form factor with improved hardware compatibility (including AIO water cooling) and simplifies installation. A fine mesh design has been implemented at the front, top, and both bottom side panels of the LANCOOL III. magnetic PSU flap is great. I love solid PSU covers, but my Fractal R6 is a pain in the butt when you want to move PSU Cables, as you can access from the rear panel onlyTwo spring-loaded SDD trays located behind the motherboard tray allow for a toolless installation of the drives. Upright GPU – I briefly contemplated doing an upright configuration for my GPU. Lianli’s brochure indicates that you can use the EVO's upright mount to achieve this, however, the EVO upright mount only allows for a 120 fan at the rear, and I wanted a 140 fan which would not work. I’m not sure If there are plans from Lian Li to make a upright GPU mount capable of accepting a rear 140 fan.
