On the original release, during each growth stage, the Tamagotchi will only make enough calls to completely fill the meter from however full it presently is (for example, a child will make four discipline calls, while a teen that began with 50% discipline will call twice). If the Tamagotchi evolves into an adult that begins with a full discipline meter, it will never make calls again. Being surprisingly faithful to the canon aside, another unique element of this Tamagotchi is that characters from Kingdom Hearts will randomly pop up from time to time. One example that aitaikimochi showed is Organisation 13 popping up in their high chairs, while another had Merlin showing up to drink tea.

Kingdom Hearts is a series of action role-playing games developed by Square Enix and owned by The Walt Disney Company that serves as a crossover between its own original characters and the latter's film portfolio. There are no on-screen icons, and therefore all information is conveyed through the screen and buttons. The character is cared for by filling its meters; it has Hungry and Happy meters, each consisting of four units, which are both empty when the character is born. If either becomes empty, they will call for attention to fill them. The replica uses a single CR2032 battery and the battery door has a single screw. There is an additional lip to hold the battery in place. Originals used two LR44 batteries and the battery door has two screws. This icon cannot be selected and lights up on its own when the Tamagotchi needs something - Hungry or Happy being completely empty, falling asleep and requiring the lights to be turned off, or making a false call and requiring discipline. If the user does not tend to their needs within 15 minutes, the icon will turn off and a care mistake will occur (unless the Tamagotchi was making a discipline call). If a Tamagotchi dies from neglect while the attention icon is on, it will remain lit on the death screen until a new egg appears. The Tamagotchi will not call for attention when it poops, nor if it gets ill. The Kingdom Hearts Tamagotchi come in two different variants; a light mode version and a dark mode version. Like with prior Tamagotchi anime and game tie-ins, players will be able to raise a variety of different characters from Kingdom Hearts. Everyone from iconic protagonist Sora to Riku, Kairi, Donald, Goofy, and Aqua will be available, with twenty characters in all currently teased. At the moment, the company is also deciding on two additional Heartless characters that will be selected based on fan votes.Which teen and adult characters the user can raise is dependent on the quality of care provided throughout the Tamagotchi's life.
