The fact that Georgia's father was a police detective makes this all the more poignant and inexcusable. We learn what an amazing girl Georgia was her love for life and for the people around her and the powerful strength of the family's quest for justice. There were psychiatrists and psychologists that warned agencies including the police that this man was dangerous all of which were ignored. And even with the joyful event for Scarlett, now 32 and a trained midwife, something will be missing. He described her as a "sweet and loving girl, was bullied at junior school but had persevered and stood up against this and grew stronger, becoming an advocate for fairness for everyone".On May 26, evil took Georgia away from her family, people she inspired and the numerous others that have told us stories on inspiration. As a cynic and a true crime enthusiast, these two things often converge when I hear stories such as this which are sadly all too common.
