Coming in joint top for Easter eggs with the highest sugar content were Galaxy Ripple and Galaxy Minstrels Easter Eggs with 68g of sugar per 100g. There are Aero Peppermint Eggs in this post that are gluten-free. But there are other Aero Easter egg variations which are NOT gluten-free.

Galaxy Ripple: Sugar, Skimmed Milk Powder, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Palm Fat, Milk Fat, Lactose, Whey Permeate (from Milk), Emulsifiers ( Soya Lecithin, Polyglycerol Polyricinoleate), Vanilla Extract , Milk Chocolate contains Milk Solids 14% minimum and Cocoa Solids 25% minimum, Milk Chocolate contains Vegetable Fats in addition to Cocoa Butter As usual, M&S remains the place where you’ll find the most unique Easter eggs that can’t be found anywhere else! As I mentioned, most of these are down the seasonal Easter aisle so it can be a literal Easter egg hunt to find the right ones. So make sure you allow yourself enough time to make sure you’ve got the ones pictured which are safe for us to eat. It’s probably the best supermarket to go to if you’re after a big Easter Egg that comes with lots of extra treats. Morrisons had a good selection of branded Easter eggs but disappointingly most of their own brand Easter eggs this year are may contain or contain gluten. The upmarket chain has reduced the price of some of its own-brand eggs from 10 or 20 per cent - including its Orange Squiggle Egg, its Dark Chocolate shell, its Milk Chocolate and Champagne Truffle option, as well as the Milk Chocolate and Salted Caramel Truffles Egg.

Aldi has a limited selection of Easter Eggs on offer but you will find branded ones like Mars from 99p – it’s among the cheapest out there. It comes with 21 eggs (one big one and 20 smaller ones), plus some signage, so you can host your own Easter egg hunt. Generally, most of these eggs are found in the seasonal aisle of supermarkets, but you will often find the gluten-free and dairy-free eggs down the free from aisle.

It’s made up of a large chocolate shell, hand painted to look like a huge hen’s egg, that’s filled with smaller sea salt caramel chocolate eggs. Easter Eggs and chocolates that are dairy free I have labelled DAIRY FREE at the beginning of their caption. I will also place these all into a separate post to make it more clear too. I plan to put together a separate post that just shows what’s gluten free AND dairy free (even though all the dairy free options are in this post anyway), hopefully I will have time to do so!Beware of some of the vegan eggs that contain gluten free oat milk. Whilst you might see gluten free oat milk and think they are safe, they in fact are actually ‘may contain gluten’ so are still unsafe. We also send coronavirus updates at 5pm on weekdays, and a round up of the week's must-read stories on Sunday afternoons. Following closely behind are Smarties Orange (64.9g), White Chocolate Twix (62g) and Creme Egg (61.5g), respectively ranking in fourth, fifth and sixth. There’s a Cadbury’s Caramel Egg in this post that’s gluten-free. BUT other Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Caramel eggs (which come with a bar and have the extra text ‘Dairy Milk’ on the front) are NOT gluten-free. I was pleasantly surprised with the gluten free easter egg options in Lidl. They actually had quite a lot in comparison to Aldi.

Supermarket shelves across Scotland are lined with dozens of different Easter Eggs to choose - from the budget range to fancier chocolate treats. We do not sell any items directly, all offers are made by third parties, we advertise them in good faith and we may receive commission when a sale is made.Hollow Egg: Sugar, Skimmed Milk Powder, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Palm Fat, Milk Fat, Lactose, Whey Permeate (from Milk), Emulsifier ( Soya Lecithin), Vanilla Extract , Milk Chocolate contains Milk Solids 14% minimum and Cocoa Solids 25% minimum, Milk Chocolate contains Vegetable Fats in addition to Cocoa Butter In second place for lowest sugar content was Ferrero Collection with 39.9g of sugar. In third place was Ferrero Rocher with 41.8g of sugar per 100g. Both contain less sugar because of the high nut content, the dental experts said. Top 5 Easter eggs with the lowest sugar content:
