About this deal

Because the shorter Supra is a mini-fountain pen, it’s designed to be used posted. So here is the shorter Supra posted, next to the Liliputs. That brass object at the bottom is the Supra’s extension tube. When the metal extension is removed, the brass Supra shrinks to a length closer to the two small Kaweco Liliputs, though wider. That extra diameter adds some writing comfort. I’m not sure about the Liliput and a converter. It’s not recommended, but it’s possible one could try the Kaweco silicone squeeze converter. This wasn’t my pen, so I didn’t. 🙂

Fireblue, Kaweco Liliput Stainless Pen Review: Kaweco Liliput Fireblue, Kaweco Liliput Stainless

We can engrave any letter, number or character that can entered from a standard computer keyboard, in any language. This includes English, Arabic, Hebrew, Greek, Cyrillic etc. Anyway, I fixed the sky, and the mod isn't so minimal anymore. XD And, because I did say that this was for educational purposes, I added lots of comments to the code, which makes the code look even more cluttered than it really is. Hopefully the comments do explain clearly what is happening at each step. The Supra has a screw-in metal extension to make the pen longer, which can be removed if you want a shorter pen. In the above photo, the Supra is full-size with the extension between the section and the rest of the pen body.Aesthetics are subjective, but I think the Supra is beautiful. Extended it’s nicely proportioned, and the larger nib size balances the size of the pen. The sleek shape is enhanced by the understated markings. Everyone who opposes fireblu textures, will be consumed by it and become part of it, blinking forever and no one will hear your screams and pleads. Though perhaps artistically boring, a solid stainless steel version of the Liliput may prove to be the most durable model in the long run. I love the size and diameter of the Supra. However, because I don’t have huge hands, a 40 gram pen is too heavy for me to write with for hours straight. But I found the Supra surprisingly comfortable for shorter writing sessions.

But the unposted pen feels much nicer. Unposted, the Supra weighs 42g (1.48 ounces) so it still feels hefty, but the length is cut down to around 12.5cm (5.25 inches). This is the interesting part of the story... blue coloring by annealing is well known to all the watch aficionados out there. Parts of the movement or the hands of the watch are blued by heating. Different temperatures resulting in different colors of the workpiece. And exactly this is how it works with the Liliput: In the process of annealing heat is applied for each Fireblue piece individually by manual labor. In color matching caps, bodies and sections are put together afterwards so every single Liliput Fireblue is one of a kind. All this talk of screwing and unscrewing the parts of the pen puts me in mind of Christopher Lee assembling his pistol out of a cigarette lighter, fountain pen and other bits and bobs in The Man With The Golden Gun.Being one of Kawecos oldest pen ranges. The Liliput range of pens have continued to impress and facinate writers since 1908. Originally being made of hard rubber, the Kaweco Liliput range of pens only consist of 3 main housing parts: The cap, barrel and handle. Nowadays, these pens are now made of high-quality, aluminium metal. Resulting in a pen with a little bit of weight, making for a more comfortable writing experience to the user. Finally, the pen can be used without the middle section, unposted. This gives a pen that is just 9.5 cm (3.75 inches) long and weighs 31 g (1.1 ounces). This was by far my least favorite setup. I know that this is a bit of a zombie post, but I would recommend adding something about how different cleaning materials might react with different pen materials (ammonia, isopropol alcohol, etc). Extended, the Supra is basically a standard-sized fountain pen in length and width. Here is the Supra extended full-size compared to a Pelikan M205 and a Montblanc LeGrand (146 size).
