We got our lo one at 10 months, after having a terrible time for months, within 2 weeks of her having it on she cut 8 teeth including a molar with no issues at all. What I would like to get across is that if your baby has a temperature, runny nappies, redness or other symptoms of poorlyness, then they are poorly! It may just be a very mild poorly, but teeth coming through do not make a baby poorly (A bit grouchy and cry maybe, but not ill) Kids from 7-14 are not made poorly by their adult teeth coming through, and neither are babies. It is normally the bottom front two which come first. With both of mine they would get a lump on their gum where the tooth was going to come through. Eventually you would be able to see the tooth beneath it and then it would finally break through. She has just started to play with rattles and things, so I dont think it will be too long before she can use teethers! At the moment, I am using a dummy like teether, which is a bit rubbish!

Also - she will have days where she is inconsolable. drooling, chewing her fist and pulling on her ear, and will calm down for a few minutes after some dentinox - but after half an hour or so she will be as upset as ever. BUt then she will have days where she is fine.
