Yes! How adorable. The creative tonies allow you to record 90 minutes of your own content onto a tonie, giving it the ultimate personal touch as a Christmas present. Imagine Nana reading a book every night... ok, dry your eyes now. Are Tonies Worth The Cost? The Toniebox is a robust (mine have been thrown around the room and into various car boots many times) music and story box. The square Toniebox is an audio player that's really easy to operate (for tiny hands, too). You buy Tonies (there are over 200 available) which are really cute characters that the child then places on top of the Toniebox to start playing that particular story (musical Tonies are also available). I love that it offers kids screen free fun, as well as being a great addition to long car journeys thanks to the 7 hour battery life. The included mains charger (pictured above) will mean there’s no need to buy disposable ones too. Winner! All told, I’d definitely recommend tonies® to anyone who is listening, and hope this tonies® Toniebox review has been helpful. Olive’s Toniebox is used everyday in our household, either as part of her bedtime routine or (increasingly) during the day when Olive wants to listen to music or a story. Furthermore, despite buying the box for Olive when she was only one, I still feel like we’ve had plenty of use from it, and this will only continue as she grows older and her attention span expands. For example, and this may just be a question of taste, I’ve found some of the lullaby Tonies to really grate on me, with the singing voices being not as high quality as you might expect. As a story-telling, music playing and educational device, the Toniebox can have a variety of uses throughout childhood. From simple lullabies at night to educational stories about space and time, the Toniebox certainly earns its price tag when it comes to versatility. 7. What is the Battery Life of a Toniebox?At the end of 2018, the Toniebox launched in Ireland and the UK! The innovative, fun and child-friendly digital audio player is the brainchild of the German friends Patric and Marcus. When they wanted to give their children an easy way to listen to audiobooks and music without adding to their screentime and without having to handle CDs or tapes: The Toniebox was born! To do that, log in to your Tonie cloud on your PC or mobile and add audio files or record messages. If you have family or friends abroad, you can give them access to your cloud. They can then record a message for your kids as a surprise. Bedtime stories from the far-away grandparents have never been that easy! Honestly, this is the best feature ever! We have amassed quite the collection of Content Tonies since buying the Toniebox just over a year ago, and one thing I’ve noticed is that the quality of the Tonies do vary. Having said that, we rarely buy new ones and instead ask for them for Olive’s birthday or Christmas. As she’s only two, she has no idea she could have more and so for now, the spend is under control. I do fear, however, that as she grows older, her demands for new Tonies may well increase. 2. Can Be Clunky We were impressed by how sturdy and padded the Toniebox is, it’s certainly built to be used by young children. The Tonies are chunky and a good size for little hands, and they fix to the top of the Toniebox with magnets.
