About this deal

Total Enzyme Activity Total Enzyme Activity reflects the amount of enzymatic activity present in the feed. Higher enzyme activity indicates a more digestible feed. Chloride Chloride is an electrolyte and is important for the transmission of nerve impulses. It is found in salt (sodium chloride). Myristic acid Myristic acid (C14:0) is a saturated fatty acid that is found in plant and animal fats. It has a chemical structure of 14 carbon atoms with no double bonds. This is all the basic groundwork stuff that you would do when starting a young horse. Personally, I do it with every horse - because what you're doing is establishing the groundrules. Cobalt Cobalt is reqired to make vitamin B12 (cobalamin). In horses, cobalt is converted to Vitamin B12 by the hindgut microflora.

Hormonal imbalances in horses can lead to various health challenges, ranging from subpar coat conditions to fertility issues. Nutritional supplements are a valuable tool in supporting balanced hormone levels and enhancing overall health.Potassium Potassium is an electrolyte that help to maintain fluid volume inside cells and cation-anion balance. Exercised horses and horses in hot weather lose potassium through sweat. try to stay calm and non-confrontational, since she is upping the ante if you tell her off - obviously keep yourself safe, but aim to just complete the task without reacting to her provocations.

Stroppy Mare is a calming supplement made up of six soothing herbs to help settle the behaviour of mares in heat. It contains: Linoleic acid Linoleic acid (C18:2) is a polyunsaturated long-chain fatty acid. It is an omega-6 fatty acid because it has a final carbon double bond in the sixth position. Alpha-Linolenic acid Alpha-Linolenic acid (C18:3) is a polyunsaturated essential fatty acid. It is an omega-3 fatty acid because it has a final carbon double bond in the third position. Folate Folate (vitamin B9, folic acid) is important for enzymatic reactions such as DNA and methionine synthesis. Isoleucine Isoleucine is a branched-chain amino acid. BCAAs are muscle-building amino acids important for growth and tissue repair.I have owned DiDi for four years. During which time I have tried to mould her to my needs. I’ve got nowhere really. She simply doesn’t want to go pub hunting. She wants to dance in a dressage arena just like she does with the young female friend of ours who competes on her in the arena. So, she’s won me round. She has played me along. She’s got her way. Some vets are advocating placing marbles in the womb of difficult mares. The idea behind this is that the mare’s body may think she’s pregnant

Copper Copper is a trace mineral required for hoof health, coat quality connective tissue, and immmune function. It should be provided in a 3:1 ratio of zinc to copper. But horses can't see very well up close. I don't see the purpose of "staring down". A horse will see it as either a threat (as in your mare) or will cower away. Stearic acid Stearic acid (C18:0) is a saturated long-chain fatty acid composed of an 18-carbon chain with no double bonds. Don't give up, try different things, and don't forget, take a big few deep breaths, let go of the tension and show her she isn't going to rule you and that she can trust you............

Stereotypies and vices in horses: could making a horse stop do more harm than good?

After living with my stroppy mare for nearly four years now I have come to a conclusion about such horses - many of which seemed to be blessed with talent if only the rider has the patience and mind to persist. My mare Ariel was Queen of the pasture for 8yrs before I got her. She was bought as a young trillium horse for this young/green rider who was so intimidated by Ariel that, that's how she became a lawn ornement until found by a lady who runs a riding school. But a year passed & they still had done nothing with her until I found her. Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) Acid Detergent Fiber is comprised of cellulose and lignin. ADF is used to calculate the digestible energy of forages. Valerian is a sedative and calmer, camomile and devil’s claw are antiinflammatory and antispasmodic, so may help those mares with mild pain. Poppy has pain-relieving properties and is a sedative, St John’s wort and L-tryptophan are effective antidepressants. One of my mares seems to be in season all year round! Stroppy and grumpy beast she is! She has Dodson And Horrell Stroppy Mare all year round, not sure if it's making any difference but would rather buy it that mess about with testing whether it works or not for the price! It's just a tub of herbs basically, good if you want to know what's in it! Yet my other mare is the softest thing you've ever met, when she's in season she's just a flirt basically, all the weeing at the boys, tail up and whinnying away when she sees another horse, wouldn't say it causes problems but I put her onto stroppy mare too when she comes in season, settles her down a little!
