They have an element (like an electric kettle) connected to the electricity supply which heats the water as it flows through the unit. The water temperature from an electric shower may fluctuate if the water flow to the shower is reduced, perhaps when someone else runs a tap. Temperature stabilised electric showers help to reduce the likelihood of these fluctuations, but if you require a guaranteed constant temperature you should consider a thermostatic electric shower.

You’ve got to be sure what type of aircraft and what seating is available for your flight. While most long international flights are operated by larger aircraft these days, a domestic connecting flight will most likely be flown by a midsized jet with a domestic business class featuring a slightly wider seat with no full recline or even a row of three economy class seats of which the middle seat has been left unoccupied. Before deciding whether to transport, stabilize the patient as much as possible. This means assuring open airways, stopping all bleeding, splinting orthopedic injuries and more. If you are unable to do this, consider having a group member get the supplies needed to make transport safer. Have as many helpers available as possible to assist you before you move the patient. If you know the amount of assistance you’ll have, you can choose a method of evacuation that will cause the least trauma to both patient and medic. If you cannot maintain standing and you find walking or moving your legs difficult, or you are at all unsteady, you are advised to consider a mobile chair, in which you can be pushed into the shower. You will consequently need to look at level access showers. If an existing shower installation is positioned where you can't reach the shower head, then shower head holders are available from many high street and DIY stores. They can usually be fixed to a wall with either screws or a suction cup attachment. Some shower head holders incorporate a built-in handrail. Bath seats are sometimes used on their own, without a bath board. You need to be able to step safely into the bath and position yourself onto the seat. After bathing you will need the strength to push yourself up to standing from the seat. As chargers have to be plugged into the mains this activity should be carried out away from the bathroom.
