Do you like to sew? What is the thing you struggle with the most?I asked my readers and by far the most common response was this – how to sew a straight line? How to keep a stitching line straight? Keep in mind – you don’t have to have a specific ¼″ foot to get an accurate ¼″ seam allowance. For years sewing on my old 1979 metal machine I only used the basic foot the machine came with and adjusted my needle close to the edge of the fabric. In my sewing machine manual, this seam guide is called Quilting barbut I guess there are other names for this tool.
