About this deal

We offer the longer MAX PROTECTION version to be the best protection in the world, this version is 68mm longer at the rear. No other mudguard offers more protection MATERIAL

Both fenders perform great and have mostly been set and forget items. Aside from the occasional extra flex of the Standard, they go unnoticed but you'll make note of the clear vision they provide. Use the Allen key provided to screw the bolts in EVENLY a bit each side, go gentle to start off to ensure you DON'T CROSS THREAD THEM, stop once it's pulled together so you can still move itThis is another one of those, “why didn’t they think of that sooner” scenarios and I’m still confused why most suspension manufacturers didn’t a) work with someone to make one for their product or b) make one themselves. Designing suspension is the focus but why not make use of what’s already available to provide more for your customers? This mudguard design is perfectly suited for the rigours of modern mountain biking. It ensures superb all-weather protection for anything from Enduro and Downhill racing, to weekend Trail sessions with friends. And, since it’s made from RapidRacerProducts’s unique polypropylene, it gives a superbly flexible and ultra-durable performance at a low weight. The ProGuard from RRP is a rigid polypropylene guard that comes in two sizes – standard and maximum. The standard is pretty big and offers plenty of protection, but the Max is 21mm longer at the front and 68mm longer at the rear so really ups the ante. It has a three-point fixing via the brace and fork lowers. There are 24 crown holes for zip-ties allowing it to accommodate a wide range of brace sizes and shapes and it’s compatible with 26in, 27.5in and 29in forks and (RRP claims) tyres up to three inches in diameter. The extended side mouldings also help protect the fork seals. To fit the Pro Guard, you do have to punch out some tiny holes, which is okay but there is a bit of trial and error getting it set to the correct angle. The Max size can also move a bit when riding hard and when sending it off a drop there was often a hard crunch as some part of the guard bottomed out on the fork/tyre. That said, if you want to ride 60mph through a peat bog and stay dry, this is the guard we’d recommend – dirt doesn’t get in your eyes, on your clothes, no matter how wet it is or how fast you’re going. Easily the best guard on test. Then feed cable ties through teh sames holes from the rear to the front (you must use min 5 cable ties to ensure the guard is secure) COMPATIBILITY WHEELS: 26” 27.5” 29” TYRES: up to a 3” tyre FORKS: All forks including Boost forks (except reverse arch) TRAVEL: Any travel

As for the fender itself, they're the cat's ass. I've had mine for over a year now, and have used it everywhere from WBP (Older Boxxer) to general aggressive trail riding (DVO Diamond), to faffing around on my hard tail ('14 Fox 34). It's sooooo nice to not worry about crap in your eyes or continuously cleaning your goggles. I got caught in a proper North Van squall yesterday, just as I began my ride up No Quarter on Fromme. Didn't even care, and not a drop of spray or particle of grit in my eyes for the entire ride. If you wish to return your bike to us please keep it in the box it arrived in and call us on 01772 644340 and we will arrange a collection. RapidRacerProducts Ltd accepts no liability for any damage or injury caused due to improper fitting or use of our productsTom didn’t get any shit in his eyes all winter, no glasses, super wet, crazy muddy, nothing on face, it will protect you and your bike from the very worst of conditions Enduro-mtb Magazine review Important - The snap-off hole will break off fast so ensure thre is nothing underneath the guard that the screw driver can hit, failure to do so may lead to damage or harm
