About this deal

Additionally, I was pregnant with my bubba (He's absolutely beautiful, thanks for asking!) last year/early this year, and the degree of powder in this scent made it intolerable to me while I was up the duff (I bought this perfume not long prior to getting pregnified). Unfortunately, I *know* this made me hesitant about cultivating a love for this fragrance. That old perfume-nausea association. So if you like any of the above (except Simply Belle), you'll like (and probably love) Amazing Grace. I dislike these fragrances and finally realized that what I hate about them is the powdery note/dry-down. PB Premiere Amazing Grace* (a spot-on dupe for Philosophy's AG, it just doesn't have as good longevity and sillage). It's very nice. Something to put on after a shower and you will smell clean for 3-4 hours. Won't last all day and while it's most definitely not a "night-out" scent nor is it a "special occasion" fragrance...it's probably one of the BEST choices for your "casual jeans & T" or "running errands" scents.

If you cut "Lavender" out and put "Citrus" more, then it's gonna be "Philosophy Amazing Grace", really their smell are so similar in the way of another compounding note like musky, white flowers etc. My reaction to all the above-mentioned perfumes was the same: one sniff and they went into the "gift/giveaway" box. Lightly and soft, yet longevity are so long (12hrs it still lingers on your skin), but poor sillage, spray on your clothes can help to show more smell It's perfect for an everyday signature scent, and for the workplace if you're not allowed to wear strong scents. I worked in F&B while I was wearing this as my signature scent, and it worked great. The sillage is pretty intimate, so you would have to stand very close to me to smell it. But you can smell it easily on yourself and your skin all day -- it doesn't just disappear into nothing. For the price point and for being an EDT, I think longevity is great! It’s definately not my favorite but mind you I usually only wear gourmands/oriental/spicy/green scents. I’m not really a lover of fresh scents but I grab this after a shower for the feeling of extra freshness or on a productive day. It does have a very sharp opening still, but it settles down after a minute or two. Lavender note is not too sharp, it just act in the way giving this perfume an "Aromatic" kind of, yet person who doesn't like "Strong Aromatic scent" or hate "Strong lavender scent" can use it I didn't think soap though when i first smelled it although i now know by association what that's meant to mean, and I didn't like any of the other philosophy fragrances that were out at that time. I find this a nondescript, inoffensive, floral-leaning musk. Not a musk bomb though...just an underwhelming, safe musk. At the time, Philosophy was getting a lot of attention in the beauty press, with so many people raving about the range, so I guess I just bought into the hype. (Not to mention the really good price-point being offered for gift sets for all three fragrances, on QVC that day). But when I received them in the post I was really underwhelmed. I tried 'Amazing Grace' as that was the one which seemed to be most popular, but when I went in to smell my wrist I was just like "eh, is that it?" I really couldn't understand what all the hype had been about.

The situation that you wanna look friendly, not a sweety, like hang out with some guy flirting with you but you're not sure yet that you want him to be boyfriend or just friend I'm seeing a lot of complaints about longevity, but it does pretty ok on me, I have the EDP and not the EDT, which may be why. It lasts about 6 hours before becoming a skin scent, longer layered with the lotion. I don't notice it after a while, but I'm consistently told that I smell good by my roommate whenever I walk into the kitchen, so I'd say projection is about 4-6 feet at least for the first few hours. this holiday, share your grace with everyone you embrace with the philosophy amazing grace eau de toilette collection featuring three luxurious ways to enjoy the iconic soft floral perfume. includes:

More From Feelunique

My significant other got me this, specifically the EDP, for Christmas last year. He said he’d asked a friend for input and the friend recommended it because *his* wife wears it and he and SO both liked it on her. I don’t think I’d noticed it on her, but I like her general style, so I was looking forward to trying it. You see this fragrance smells exactly like johnson baby shampoo, the yellow one. Powder, but with a noticeable hint of chemical detergent. I smell a powder note, a mild slight white floral and slight chemical note. Linear fragrance, apart from alcohol on first spray, there are no levels to this. The sillage is very weak. You have to be very close or use a ton to smell it. Longevity is moderate maybe 2 hours but with weak sillage. It isn't what I wanted, I wanted a very powdery talcum powder smell. I wanted a slight comforting vanilla note too. This is distinctly not baby powder but is definately baby shampoo (and not baby oil either) . Another fragrance it reminds me of is CLEAN shower fresh, when it has dried right down and is coming to the end of longevity, the mild faint trace that remains is like baby grace. The sillage could be better but it's fine by me in that I myself am very sensitive to strong scents, and I work in close proximity with children (face painting, specifically) so I prefer to live in delicate scents that I can't imagine could trigger a migraine or dizzy spell in anybody. A burst of citrus before all the soapy, powdery goodness. This is a *sweet* musk bomb. Quite a *heady* musk, too. Also, the citrus I mostly get is grapefruit which is very hit-or-miss with me at the best of times.

Needless to say, my friend was quite relieved when I gifted her a full bottle of her signature scent, and all was right in the world again.Use a light hand and they are inoffensive and dry down to a powdery smell that is appropriate to wear in environments where people are sensitive to perfumes. Maybe I have strange body chemistry, but I’m always on the lookout for a fragrance that doesn’t dry down to, and linger on my skin, as its most readily identifiable, one-dimensional base note (e.g. tonka bean, patchouli, sandalwood, tuberose, musk, etc.). For that reason, most fragrances, no matter how cheap or expensive, wind up falling into one of about a dozen familiar, tired old cloying base scents that come across to me (and others in my proximity, I fear) as something of an headache and/or allergy-triggering olfactory assault instead of an enhancement.
