Following Rob Zombie's Halloween reboot, relatives include Judith Myers, Laurie Strode, and Deborah Myers. Samantha Thomas was best friends with Rachel Carruthers and Tina Williams. She was murdered on Halloween 1989 by Michael Myers after going to a Halloween party at a local farm, when he sliced her across the chest with a scythe. The curse of Thorn tasks the bearer to sacrifice his/her own family on Halloween night to spare the community from death and natural disasters. Michael is the latest bearer of the curse, with his niece his next sacrifice. It should be noted the curse is explicit only in the "Producers Cut" where Michael is depicted as a supernaturally bound slave to the cult and curse. In the theatrical cut, the curse is a theory never fully explored with Michael being driven by rage, and even Terrance Wynn describing him as pure evil. Morgan Strode is the adoptive father of Laurie Strode. He is a real estate salesman trying to sell the old Myers house. His name is not mentioned in the film but only in the credits as "Father,", with the novelization of that film referring to him as Chester Strode.
