About this deal

Again we see the new cooler’s Performance mode tying the older cooler’s Quiet mode, but at lower noise levels. That is a big win, folks! And if you’d prefer, you can always switch into Quiet mode, and get excellent results with around the same noise level as the average air cooler. In case you needed any reminder on this point, the older cooler’s noise level at load was simply ridiculous. If you wanted to show off your shiny new build to your friends, its 54.5dB noise level would leave them thinking your PC was on its last legs. There’s no other way to say this: the older H100i sounded broken at load. All right, with the introduction out of the way, it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty of Corsair’s former and current best-selling coolers! Note: the screenshots below come from Windows 10, and the fixes also work in Windows 8 and Windows 7. There may be legitimate or uncontrollable reasons your coolant is at 40C without load, but this is what we need to focus on. For now, you can get around the max speed by creating a custom curve as suggested originally. Those will not jump to 100% when you hit 40.

We used our high-end test platform to test the coolers, which consists of the following components: Of the few Corsair coolers I have left they are using CorsairLink which takes 45mb, runs 1 process, uses 0.5% CPU on average and does everything I need it to do for a cooler - tell me temps and fan speeds. I am still concerned about this 39C idle coolant value. It's 26.9C in this room right now. Coolant temp is 28.6C. Computer has been up and at idle for the last 2 hours. +2C over ambient is on the lower side, but most people are in the +4-6C range even in tight cases. I would not expect to see 39C unless your room is 35C. If it's not, we need to find out why. I don't like this continual warming with the fans maxed out. That should not happen unless you are running a stress test. You need to be very meticulous with the data collection. A +7C delta might be "slightly warm", whereas +9-10C I would consider in trouble. The margins are that fine in detecting and you to be very precise since we can't see what you see. It's fairly difficult to keep piling on heat with the fans at maximum, at least from CPU heat. What were you doing at the time? If you heat the case up with the GPU, you might see this. Not related specifically to fan control, but it would be good to figure out if there is something wrong with the cooler. What kind of room and case temperature do you have? When sitting at idle on the desktop, what is the coolant temperature? Does it stay level or slowly creep up?They need to re-write CL s/w..it's totally unreliable and and seems to be designed by someone with basic or very little windows internal knowledge. Finally, we illustrate cooling performance faced with the extreme load generated by Intel Burn Test. We don’t think any application will put this much pressure on a CPU, so consider this an absolute worst-case scenario. And now, if im running my pc without ICUE, and I restart the system, the H100i v2 fans do the same, 2700 rpm before BIOS screen.

The issue so far is that about every 10 seconds the USB plug and play sound triggers. During the "removed phase" The LED no longer light up, and the fans connected to the cooler stops. During the "plugged in" phase, LED lights up, fans spins. This is another way to do it ... setting the header to PWM mode does supply the constant 12V of power. The PWM signal is ignored. Thank you very much for your answer, I think that it is solved for now. According to your reply, I set the 100% rpm to the 50C, achieving that the fans run more deccelerated and less noisy. From there, proceed with your typical Hydro Series cooler installation (don't forget to plug in your power and USB cables). In my past professional role and experience in managing technology products, that list will require a lot of work to fix. They will need to take one of their own fans and try to modify them to work the pump controller. They will try to modify the pump controller - but's an expensive so will focus on a workaround with firmware. The CL is a major re-write.radiator: Our Hydro Series coolers utilize a 120mm or 140mm radiator, thus the 240mm radiator provides about double the cooling surface. It will fit in almost any case with twin 120mm fan mounts that are spaced enough for a 240mm radiator. The Corsair H100i v2 is an air cooler that has a rated lifespan of about 6 years. Is the Corsair Hydro Series Good? I also saw that the brand new 110 is coming out with something like 1,xx of air pressure and 94cfm...all against 2 months of useless words said by people apparently appointed by Corsair to reply in this forum. Advanced SP120L PWM fans: Unlike conventional case fans, our SP120L fans are custom-designed to provide high static pressure for direct installation against radiators, and the fan blades are specifically curved for optimum air delivery with little noise. Because they’re PWM-controlled, you may adjust the fan speed to get the best balance of performance and noise.
