About this deal

The board only weighs 20 pounds. Deflate it, put it in the bag and you can travel wherever you want with your inflatable paddle board. Large platform: The Aqua Plus is 11 feet long and 33 inches wide. It’s incredibly stable and you can even use it for yoga. For big guys, a larger board may be more suited. And you don’t have to spend too much money to get one. The Bestway Oceana is a low-priced all-around paddle board for people of all skill levels. Anyone would love it–beginners who want to learn, a skilled paddler looking for an extra board, or anyone who wants a SUP that everyone in the family can use. To find the best inflatable paddleboards, we recruited five novice paddleboarders and two qualified SUP experts to help us rate each board on a calm lake in Surrey.

If you are heavier and the Nautical 10’6 seems too small, I would recommend the Nautical 11’6. It has the same features as the 10’6 but it is longer and has a higher weight capacity. Size is key. It’s all about your height, weight, skill level, and what you plan on doing. Here’s how you choose the right size cheap paddle board: Maneuverable: It makes a great board for newbies and younger paddlers because they can handle it on the water without an issue. Quality of the accessories: A good SUP is more than just the board. We rated the paddles, pumps and carry bags of every paddleboard we tested. As well as shoddy pumps that could cause blisters or extra effort when pumping up the boards, we found paddles that were very wobbly, or easily broken. The best paddleboards that we recommend come with sturdy paddles, high quality pumps and durable carry bags. Rugged: Despite being so light, the quality of the Retrospec Weekender is actually impressive and it can take whatever you throw at it.

Stand-up paddle boards: Paddle your way to adventurous experiences

First, inflatable paddle boards are generally cheaper compared to solid boards. So if you have a tight budget, an inflatable makes more sense. Super stable: The Outdoor Master Spirit is large and stable. It’s suitable for beginners and you’ll also be able to bring your kids with you. In this price range, you will find poorly made paddle boards that don’t last. Their accessories are unreliable and barely function properly too.

This budget paddle board offers the best color options of any board on this list. It’s available in six vibrant colors and I love that they aren’t too bright when the sun shines on them (so not dazzling), but they still look eye-catching. Proper performance paddle boards can be quite expensive. But you can still enjoy decent speed on a budget with the Bluefin Cruise 10’8. It is made with durable construction and you can count on it to last. You will also love the attachment points that allow you to bring paddling gear. The Chasing Blue has a three-fin system: two side fins and a larger center fin. The center fin design is a little different from what you typically see on other SUPs. But the manufacturer sells the fin separately in case you lose yours. This paddle board has seven handles; three carry handles and four safety handles. The carry handles make handling the board easy. The safety handles are great for kids to hold on to. I love the front and rear bungee cargo storage which allows you to bring enough gear for a day of paddling. While you won’t find fancy features on cheap paddle boards, look for essentials. Things like fins, carry handles, bungee storage, and leash D-rings are necessary.

Despite the heavy-duty construction, the FunWater is a lightweight paddleboard, weighing only 17.6 pounds. If you are looking for a cheap all-around paddle board for a teen, this would be great. To SUP after sunset or at dawn or dusk, you are required to have a white light, such as a flashlight, that is visible up to a mile and capable of warning other boaters by shining towards oncoming traffic. The paddle board is constructed using dual-layer PVC. The rails have an extra PVC layer to make the board even more rigid. Lastly, iSUPs are durable. They don’t get dented as easily as the solid stand up paddle boards. They handle impact well and can last a long time. Are Cheap Paddle Boards Any Good? Consider getting the Gili Air 11’6 if you’re a taller or heavier paddler like me. I weigh about 192 lbs at 6’1 and, like with the Nautical, the Air 11’6 performs much better for me.There are two settings on the board's air valve where the pump hose attaches: the inflate/closed position and the deflate/open position. It's important to twist the valve into the inflate/closed position before attaching the inflation hose. In this position, the valve allows air to inflate the board but prevents the air inside from escaping. When you are finished pumping and take the hose off, you won't lose valuable air pressure. Accordingly, the paddleboard measures 10′ and 6″, around the universal size for entry-level boards. Manual inflation: Inflating this SUP manually is quite the workout and you may want to invest in an electric pump after a while. Super cheap: One of the cheapest inflatables around and it’s great if you’re on a really tight budget. You’ll get a good paddle board without having to break the bank.

Another thing, never ignore the warranty information. A one- to two-year warranty is great for cheap paddle boards. A SUP with no warranty is a huge red flag. 2. Stability: Is It Stable Enough for the Intended Use? Funwater mightn’t be the biggest brand in the market. Their Funwater Paddle Board 10’.6″ attracts quite a few buyers regularly. High-quality materials and construction, a sleek profile, and excellent glide performance earn the Red Paddle Co Voyager+ MSL high overall scores, and it's the best model in our lineup for touring. Because this board is optimized for advanced users looking for efficient glide and higher speeds, it's not the best all-around option for the family or beginner paddlers. Its long and narrow shape yields excellent glide performance — it's a perfect option for glassy days when you want to cover some distance, but it also holds up quite well in windier or choppier conditions. With an FCS Connect fin and an RSS stiffening system that adds rigidity to the rails, the Voyager+ MSL is a top-of-the-line board with high-end performance. The icing on the cake is the included dual-chamber, universally compatible pump, one of the best in our review. Stand up paddle boarding is all about having a good time. And that can happen even with a low-cost paddle board. So there is no need to buy a fancy expensive board if money is tight. The Chasing Blue Violet Spirit is smaller than the Solar Spirit, with a length of 10’6 and a width of 32”. The Breeze Aero proved stable in chop and easy to maneuver for paddlers of all skill levels. Because of the gradually tapered nose, longer center fin, and board height, it glides easily through waves and smoothly on flat water. That said, the board could benefit from fully removable fins. Still, the additional features, high quality of construction, and ease of transport make the Breeze a favorite among paddlers looking for a high-performance board at a reasonable price. Most cheap paddle boards are made with single-layer PVC and you can find a few with dual-layer PVC construction. The Aqua Plus 11 can hold up to 350 pounds when inflated. This is a great weight capacity for a cheap paddle board.
